The Rosenbergs got the electric chair after they gave away atomic bomb secrets. And as it turned out, they didn’t even get anyone killed. Fifty years later, with our troops involved in a bloody foreign battle, Waxman knew that issuing this ridiculous statement would give the press all they needed to run interference for him. Somewhere along the line we seem to have become a nation of zombies. Wake up, everybody!
