It’s a scary story you spin, but it relies on Obama winning back the people he won in 2008 but lost in 2010. These people can be convinced to come back to him in 2012? Not likely I think.

And the tea party isn’t going away. And Obama can’t run on “hope and change” as the incumbent. He can’t build an entire presidential campaign by saying republicans are evil — if that worked then 2010 would be in the bag for him.

As with many incumbent Democrats, Mrs. Lincoln has been stung by association with the president’s agenda.

She’s not stung by the association. She gambled that supporting the Obama agenda would help her politically. She was wrong.

If the bottom really has blown out of the boat...as I’m afraid the current pack of fools may have done...’Bammycare and the American Middle class are not but a historical footnote.

“I will be working plenty hard between now and then supporting candidates.”

I must admit before this election I had given money only once to a candidate's campaign directly.

In this election cycle I have given money to 12 candidates directly in addition to four organizations.

The way I figure it, if we don't return to fiscal sanity, my savings will be worthless in a few years anyways.

“Even more worrisome for Democrats, however, is the finding that among the voters who are most closely following the midterm elections Republicans hold a 55% to 36% lead.”

Wow. Further, in states that actually require some form of voter ID, it’s well, well past time for the RATs to try to rally more registrations. In those states (I think still the majority - the one’s that don’t have the insane motor/voter type laws - anyone know what the breakdown is) - it’s ALL about GOTV.

Go good guys and gals!!

Any resolution to the millitary votes in IL and/or NY?

And I would not be surprised to learn other deep blue states have the similar problem that weren’t reported.

I’ll go you one better, I think that every single Democrat senate candidate will lose: Schumer, Leahy... all of them.

Music to my ears. Can we just shut down the country for the first week of November and have an all out, coast-to-coast party?

The two categories aren't quite the same.

Sorry for the confusion I was making a distinction between likely and most likely. Obviously people who are closely following an election are virtually certain to vote. Others are simply likely to vote.

No--but the measures that MUST be taken to cut Federal spending are NOT going to make a lot of people happy. And that's what Obama may be counting if there is a Republican "tsunami".

That's why it will take courage for those Pubbies backed by the Tea party to do what Governor Christie has done in New Jersey: Just say "NO!" to spending tax payers' money for government goodies AND give a clear, concise, and easily understood reason why handing out such goodies--even to those who have gotten comfortable receiving them--is a BAD IDEA!

Christie has found a way to do this--and come across as sensible and reasonable, and concerned with the "welfare" of the citizens of New Jersey. He has made it clear to those citizens--including the ones who are used to getting "eggs" from the "golden goose" of the State--that they might have to give up some of the "eggs" (including retirement "nest eggs")in order to keep the "goose" alive. THAT argument gets people's--and "sheeple's"--attention, because it favors their own "self-interest".

The Dems have ALWAYS been brilliant at appealing to "interests of our self"--that's why they have been so successful at getting people to buy the "goose's eggs" in the first place. But--when the danger of the "goose" being so sick that it might die--and "hatch" for future generations nothing but big fat "goose eggs"--then people can understand the need to do what it takes--even if it hurts them personally--to "save the goose"!

This is UNBELIEVABLE and soo totally infuriating - can they not make exceptions to eliminate the cheating or incompetence in those counties??

“Going up a point not really a change. Good news is still same thus big win.”

40% of people will have already voted by 11/2. The referendum on Obama is truly close to being baked.

Still holding our collective breath on a number of seemingly close races like Rossi here in WA, not to mention Sharron Angle.
