I can easily envision a scenario where there is an instant, failed vote for repeal - for political consumption - followed by GOPers voting for certain aspects of Obamacare that they perceive to be popular. In fact, I’d bet on incrementalism of this sort.

Yep, that is precisely what I expect to happen. No Conservative should trust Mitch McConnell or John Boehner any farther than they can throw them. Actions speak louder than words. These two fretted and moaned and wringed their hands when they claimed that the Dims were locking them out of meetings on Obamacare they were legally obliged to attend. Where was the camera crew to film the door being shut in their faces? Why were they not screaming from the rooftops? Why did they not force a reading of the entire bill into the Congressional record on the House and Senate floors prior to the vote as ANY member of Congress can do? I think we all know the answer to these questions.....
