I remember shortly after 9/11 Cokie Roberts said that she did not want airline pilots to be armed because “somebody might go into the cockpit, take the pistol away from the pilot and use it to hijack the plane” or “the pilot might use the gun to shoot the passengers.” I swear that idiot Cokie Roberts said it.
