Why should there be exceptions?
Are we all created equal?
Why should your income be taken to pay my rent?
If I came to your door and demanded your income to pay my electric bill you would have me arrested. Why then do you think the government should be able to do the same thing?
Further! You have a car commrade? That will just not do, we will confiscate to save the environment. You can walk, is better for you, no?

>>Wrong. It’s factored into the monthly rent.<<
A portion of it certainly is, but when you own a home the burden is much higher.
All your money are belong to us!
I don't know why there should be exceptions. Since you wrote Everyone should pay and there should be exceptions. I am waiting for you to tell me why there should be exceptions.
So are interest deductions.
THE FAIR TAX!
Everybody, including illegals, pays!
My thoughts exactly, along with: everyone pays thier taxes in a lump sum at the end of the year. No employee withholding, no estimated quarterly payments. We would have the Alinsky strategy of overwhelming the system with delinquent tax payments, and then, very soon, none of the current politicians would be in office.
You are not Matt, John’s brother are you?
you forgot to post the sarcasm tag . . .
Hello, our name is Equality 7-2521.
hard to sit tight while this bunch trry to ruin America.
Sorry.
yeah
well, let’s see
My renter’s rent is subsidized by the fact I can take tax deductions and depreciation (which I am forced to take)- otherwise I’d be losing money every month - negative cash flow after I pay the mortgage, taxes (which are 50% higher than residences in this town for “non owner occupied” property) and all other expenses. His washer quits? I replace it. His refrigerator quits. I replace it. He trashes the place? I fix it.
I look forward to renters sharing the cost of reducing the federal deficit by paying higher rent, with those leases that allow rent increases in line with owner cost increases. My lease doesn’t allow that but it will from now on.
And may the rent increases be as swift and as steep as the cost of owning property will be if mortage deductions are eliminated on people who made their purchase decisions and budgets based on long time (decades old) tax codes.
No sweat Joe. My goal is just to remind us to make this site a total contrast to the leftoid sewage sites as far as our language. Thanks.
Indeed it is, and she had it so right. I am reading the most recent biography of her, and her book of editorials.
She should be required reading.
