"In recent weeks, Manchin has aggressively positioned himself to the right, coming out in favor of a partial repeal of President Obama’s health-care bill, after supporting passing it this March, talking about how he would never support cap-and-trade, and most recently, in interviews with Politics Daily, refusing to definitively endorse Sen. Harry Reid for senate majority leader or President Obama for 2012."

Too bad for Manchin that Tom Jensen and PPP are the only ones buying it...

As Rush was saying today, we can expect a full week of these types of polls.

I checked the internals and compared them to 2008 and PPP gave the Democrats a +7% advantage over 2008. That is the only reason Manchin is leading. PPP had been getting better as a pollster till they signed up to poll for Daily Kos. The last few polls have been crap.

I believe Rasmussen had Raese up by 5, almost the exact opposite of PPP. I beginning to wonder is Rasmussen has become more of a follower this cycle or not. IF he has, this is troubling - I really thought we had this one in the bag.

These polls should be outlawed. Newsrooms throughout the country (including FOX) will lead with these polling results.

No one should believe the BS coming from liberals. They are trying to do now what worked for them in 2008, convince people not to bother voting..just go vote..Rasmussen is a very reliable poll and has Manchin down by 5..PPP is the same poll that had Doug Hoffman up by 20 points..they get their poll numbers out of their asses, don’t buy any of it
