Ras: Kentucky Senate: Paul (R) Enjoys Double Digit Lead (Ya stepped in it, Conway!)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | Friday, 29 October 2010 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 10/29/2010 5:46:21 AM PDT by ScottinVA

With a huge voter backlash to Democrat Jack Conway’s ad criticizing his opponent’s college antics and questioning his religious faith, Republican Rand Paul has now taken a 12-point lead in Kentucky’s bitter U.S. Senate race.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state, taken Wednesday night, shows Paul with 53% support to Conway’s 41%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate in the race, and four percent (4%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

After narrowing somewhat last week, the race moves back to where it’s been for most of the year. As a result, it’s moving back from Leans Republican to Solid Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings. In 12 surveys prior to last week, Paul had led by seven to 15 points each time, earning 46% to 59% of the vote. Conway, Kentucky’s current attorney general, picked up 34% to 42% support in those same surveys.

The candidates held their final debate on Monday night, and Democrats are now trying to capitalize on a violent incident outside the debate involving a Paul supporter and an liberal activist. Former President Clinton is scheduled to come to the state on Monday to campaign for Conway.

The survey of 750 Likely Voters in Kentucky was conducted on October 27, 2010 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

Looks like Conway overreached with the attack on Paul's Christian faith. Glad to see it!

“There’s something about an Aqua Buddha man!”

Now, that's funny!
Rand Paul visited our restaurant in Glasgow, Kentucky yesterday at lunch. It was "standing room only", and he was gracious and engaging the entire time.
What's really funny is Conway visited on Tuesday and only about 10 people showed!! LMAO!

Yes! PTL!!!

At times like this, we need teams of Freepers or maybe Tea Party Express to confront the loser and ridicule him at every turn. We could call them “Rid Squads.” Whatever we can do to make life miserable and bitter for lib candidates — or officeholders, for that matter — should be on the table.

Part of the reason libs have run and ruled in the past is that we kept the level of discourse far too lofty. They would do ghastly things to us. And we, in turn, would try to make nice.

No more. Never again. From now on, the left has to learn that politics is hell.

Is this about a stupid “aqua buddha” ad,
or is it simply that Paul is an unapologetic Constitutional Conservative?

Also, most Christians and conservatives now understand the LACK of understanding inherent in the left.
The left has bought their own lie that Christians are “intolerant”. Under this lie, any transgression, like “aqua buddha” or “dabbling in witchcraft as a teen”, will bring instant condemnation from the Christian right.

And now, most people see through this cynicism and reject the person that attempts to drive this wedge.

breaking news at Rasmussen, Calif gubernatorial now a Toss-Up, Brown leads Whitman only 49-45

If gubernatorial race is a toss-up, then Boxer could be toast, because Fiorina has out-polled Whitman for weeks

I agree. We've taken the "high road" one too many times and look where its landed us. Politics is bar room brawl not a cocktail party and we need to fight that war to win.

Look at what leftists do to everything they touch: They must be stopped cold.

Watch for this trend today, for these ‘close’ Senate races to show the GOP candidate in the lead.

Since the final debate was on Monday night, and the poll was taken Wednesday, those polled already knew of Conway’s ridiculous attempt to make a scandal out of the move-on lady who was forcibly stopped from possibly attacking Rand Paul.

Whatever the man’s name who restrained her, he was right to totally restrain her until they determined she had no weapons and no violent intent.

All they knew was that she rushed the candidate.

It was a citizen’s arrest.
