Found this linked in a comment about a totally unrelated issue. Never heard of this site, but here's the assertion:
“Size and color”, that’s what Jon Stewart claimed are the deciding factors on the success of a rally. Well much has been made on Glenn Beck’s program of the size of his “Restoring Honor” rally in comparison to others. A diagram was brought to my attention by Rachel Sklar following a retweet from Patrick Gavin of Politico on Twitter and I wanted to share it with you. As we reported CBS News reported 215,000 people attended yesterday, while for Beck’s rally they reported 87,000 attended. What do you think?

That is exactly correct. This nonsense is a mere distraction, and these fools are hardly worthy of the attention. As the caption on Drudge says, “bring in the clowns”.
Both photos are of the Stewart/Colbert Rally taken from the same spot one uses a telephoto lens to show the density of the crowd by that white building shown in the first photo.
I always say, “ Fill the frame”. Nice move on the photogs side. Hope he is a Tea Party member? (just guessing?)

Great .. with such a clear majority the parasites will win the elections this week and finish destroying the nation, so that we can start rebuilding it all the sooner.

As to your statement that NPS doesn’t do crowd estimates: I remember at the time of two demonstrations/rallys in Washington, D.C., earlier this year, NPS crowd numbers were mentioned on FNC.
Where are the photos of the trash they left behind?
I wondered about that myself. Did they clean up after themselves?
