Voted at 8am at the local elementary school.

The parking lot was full. It was difficult to find a parking space. Cars were parked on the baseball field. But there was only a minor line to vote (2 people ahead of me).

I even caught myself thinking "wow, parking lot is full. There must be a huge line to vote. Maybe I'll come back later to vote". I found a spot to park and voted anyway.

Turns out the teachers were having a conference (no school today for students). I've been voting at this school for years and they've never had a conference on election day.

Showed my ID (as is required in Connecticut). The ballot had most of the democrat candidates listed twice (as Democrat and as Workers party). However republican candidates were listed at the top of the ballot.

There were no irregularities in the polling place, but I found the full parking lot to be unusual.

I wonder if we could get a DE thread like this going?

That's going to be a fun one to watch....

Anyone wearing WWE t-shirts? Linda’s husband was on tv last night with “Linda” bumper stickers all over the front of his shirt, and a big Blumenthal banner covering his rear end.

Our family of 5 voted together this morning. The parking lot was full but the lines were not bad inside. We had an anomaly because the dems kept the republicans off the ballot for state rep so ours had to go at the bottom as a petitioning candidate. There are normally enough to fill one side of the new fangled paper ballots (I loved the old diebold machines!!) but today there were three sides. I wonder how many people will forget to turn over one of the pages? And Martha Dean was on that side!

I wonder how many of the dumbbunnies here in CT will mark both lines? Also, how many of those votes will be counted twice?

BTW, the description of where you voted sounds a lot like my voting place. Are you in Middlesex County?

I voted before 7 this AM. When I pulled in the parking lot was almost full and I thought there would be a long line, as there was at that hour when I voted in another part of town. Nope, the place was jam-packed with poll workers and watchers—but hardly any voters.

MORE THAN A THUMPIN'

Obama says Dems are in trouble because Americans aren't thinking clearly. He's delusional. Time to put the federal beast back into its cage.

Forget the polls, forget the media spin. Go to the ballot box and put an end to the Dem Party. Throw this putrid congress out on their heads.

voted at 6:00 am in Greenwich - was #2 in line as the polls opened (SWMBO and I always walk to the polls on election day, it’s just over a mile each way). Fair turn out, several neighbors known to vote R, but nothing like the turnout in 2008.

My family voted in Milford Ct this AM. 3-0 straight Republican, my college daughter voting for the first time.

More cars than usual in the lot.

Voted at about 6:50 this morning in Waterbury, at Blessed Sacrament School.

There were about 4 other folks in there voting at the same time. Plus about a dozen poll workers/watchers/counters.

I was the 27th person to cast my ballot at that location, per the counter on the only ballot scanner.

I submitted a report to the local republican poll watcher, regarding the parking spaces.

It was just too odd to ignore.

SW Ct - no problems. Except if we don’t vote Himes out.

Wife and I voted together, shortly before noon in Ledyard. Was relieved to see them requiring ID, not once but twice. I wore my "Worst President Ever" t-shirt and no one protested that :-)

Turn out was "busy" but not packed... the back up at the first ID check tended to stay about 5 or 6 deep during my time there.

Like others, I was surprised to see the unfair advantage Democrats had be being listed twice on the ballot, once on the Democrat party line and again on the "working Family" party line. Did a little poking around on that issue when I had the chance and apparently it's legal in CT, "cross endorsement" they call it... certainly an unfair practice but gives me a few ideas for 2012 :-)

Since Obama uses a social security number that was issued by Connecticut to a person born in 1890, does that allow him the right to also vote there?
