Wife and I voted together, shortly before noon in Ledyard. Was relieved to see them requiring ID, not once but twice. I wore my "Worst President Ever" t-shirt and no one protested that :-)

Turn out was "busy" but not packed... the back up at the first ID check tended to stay about 5 or 6 deep during my time there.

Like others, I was surprised to see the unfair advantage Democrats had be being listed twice on the ballot, once on the Democrat party line and again on the "working Family" party line. Did a little poking around on that issue when I had the chance and apparently it's legal in CT, "cross endorsement" they call it... certainly an unfair practice but gives me a few ideas for 2012 :-)

Nothing out of the ordinary when the Mrs. and I went at noon. I was actually surprised it was so empty, no one else was there voting while we were there.

There’s still another name listed at our address, I’m assuming it’s a person that lived there sometime prior to us (wonder if they’ve voted in recent elections?) and has been on the list for 14+ years now that we’ve lived there. We tried to get it removed but was told by the SoS’s office that we couldn’t have the name removed, that person had to have their name removed.

As usual, the Dem and Green party sign holders were all toeing the 75’ line as we entered.

I don’t know what to make of it, though. The Dems have a sizeable registered voter advantage, I’m guessing suburban guilt, so it would take a majority of the Indy’s voting R to win it here. It’s far more interesting (read close) than I ever thought I’d see in CT!

"The Working Families Party" name cracks me up. Perhaps
Republicans could run under the

"Do It for the Children Party"
"Cute Puppies and Bunnies Party"
"Hitler Was Bad Party"
