I have a NY SS# because that was where I was living when I did my Alien Registration Card etc paperwork but it could easily have been another state...
Is an SS# reused when someone dies ???

If he didnt get it until about 1970, the odds are the other chap was dead...
Id be more suspicious if the number was non-existant or belonging to someone still alive in 1975..
