Charleston, WV: 1:15 PM

Beautiful weather.

No lines at the polls.

Chatted up the poll workers, in their opinion it has been a little higher than expected, not too much.

FWIW, I've seen a light scattering of Raese signs on front lawns. But the ONLY Manchin signs I see are on buildings owned by unions, law firms, and companies that live on the state government teat.

Yeah, who know what heavy turnout means?

I’m hoping that it’s good because if people were satisfied with the status quo, they wouldn’t be out.

The dems have gotten a lot of people angry in the last two years.

Time will tell.

I’m praying hard too.

I hope Sarah Palin asks Rove why he chose not to help Christine

Hi, rodguy! I saw Sarah on with Megyn and Hemmer on Sunday and at the end, Megyn mentioned that Sarah would be commentating tonight with Rove. I could swear I heard/saw Sarah say "Can't wait." WOO-HOO!

Heard on the radio that at a polling station in Taunton, the challenger Shaunna O'Connell ran into democrat rep Jim Fagan and offered her hand only to be told to crawl back into the hole she came from.

Classy.

Just voted. At 1:15 there were lines. Poll worker said it was close to or as busy as it was during the presidential election.

The bad news, I live in Cook County Illinois so not all of those were Republicans.

The good news, My district US-6 (Peter Roskam) is the least liberal part of the county.

At 9a.m., I was voter # 561 at Dare Elementary in Yorktown, VA There was no lines or waiting however.

I voted at 6:15 just across the Coleman at the VFD in Hayes. Only two folks ahead of me at the time. Rob Wittman won't have a problem getting re-elected.

I voted, here in Indiana County Pa, at 12:15. There was a line in front of me - mostly Republicans. The voting site was in a mostly Democrat area. The poll workers did not look happy. I was #330 - not too bad for our district. :-)

A handicapped man in front of me was being assisted in his voting. I did not notice if the woman who brought him in filled in his ballot, but I noticed, when I was leaving, that her van had an ‘Obama’ sticker on the bumper. hmmmmm

If Reid wis declared the winner, Nevada won’t see my bucks for the duration. No casinos, motels, restaurants. And if I have to drive through the state, I’ll fill up my tank before my tires hit NV and hope my tank’s big enough to get me through to the other side. I hope any organizations planning conventions or meetings will consider having them in a Red state instead of NV.

We are required to have a signed voter registration card or driver’s license. We also have to sign a paper to give to the lady that gives us our code. No ID, no vote.

Voted at 10:30 this morning. S/E Phoenix by the Desert Vista High School. I was #87. People at the polls thought that it was a good turn out. Many early ballots here. I asked when they would be counted and they said a couple of days later, not just if it was close?

Virginia: Here in Yuppie Acres, Alexandria, turnout was roughly what I remember in last year’s gubernatorial race.

One reader in one of Virginia’s not-really-hard-fought 1st Congressional District (Krystal Ball may be a lot of fun at Christmas parties, but she’s not a competitive candidate) says he too, finds turnout comparable to last year’s gubernatorial race; while another in the same district finds turnout way, way down at his usual polling place.

Here in North Stafford, VA, 1st Cong District, I went in at 7AM. One person was getting in his car as I walked in and I was the only voter there. One race to vote for and I sure didn't vote for Krystal Ball (her liberal parents must have been high when they named her).

When I was scanning in my paper ballot one other voter walked in. Very light turnout at that time of the morning.

I wonder why early ballots are counted later if they've had them longer. They should have them counted already.
