Newt just said the North Carolina legislature just went Republican, its the first time since 1898. He also said this is the first time since 1932 that either party has picked up more than 55 seats. We’re making history here.
We all have to keep this in mind. If McCain had won, we wouldn't have the Awakening and tonight's results. (+ now we're the most armed populace in the history of mankind. : ) )
Newt’s mistaken. The GOP picked 75 in 1938 after FDR tried to pack the Supreme Court and the country went back into a Depression before WW2 saved us.
