Tom Foley Asks Susan Bysiewicz To Hold Off On Calling Election Results "Official"

In another development, state Sen. Kevin Witkos - who works as a police supervisor in Canton - is calling for an investigation into the Election Day use of the Reverse 9-1-1 system in Bridgeport.

The system was used to call voters in order to tell them that the voting hours had been extended by two hours to 10 p.m., based on an order by a Superior Court judge after some polling places ran out of ballots.

...

"State law is very clear that reverse 9-1-1 is an emergency notification system only,'' Witkos said. "As a matter of fact, the law very clearly states that the system is to be used 'only in case of life-threatening emergencies.'

...

He added, "Since some people got the reverse 9-1-1 message and some did not, I have to ask if we are to assume that being notified about the extended voting hours rose to the level of a 'life threatening emergency' for residents of some parts of the city but not others. On its face, this is appalling.''

The Republican House should refuse to seat the Dem rep if he wins under a cloud of suspicion of voter fraud. They should also plan on not seating any dem rep who wass probably elected due to fraud. Starting with Nevada.

Letting the Dems steal an election just reinforces the apathy and hopelessness among the people. It has gotten more and more blatant since Nixon declined to challenge Daley stealing the election for JFK. Maybe you can't do anything about this mess you're in now. The people elected to protect the voters are all part of the crimes. But you can work together to bring change. Develop a farm team by electing conservatives to local offices- then the Legislature. Wake up your business organizations to the oppressive taxation and regulation strangling you. Take over the state Chamber and get them involved. Get involved in conservative organizations- the Republican party, the Tea Party- wherever there are like minded people to spread the word. When you find a candidate worthy of your support- HELP. It's not enough just to vote. Even if you can't spare money, give your time. Volunteer, make calls, walk door to door.
It won't change overnight, but it can change. Florida was a one party state for 130 years. Slowly we developed conservative communities that elected conservatives to the city councils, then the Legislature. Just a few at first, then a few more. In 1992 we achieved an even split in the state Senate. In the ‘94 election we went from 41 House Members to 61- and that one vote majority put the first Republican Speaker in the Chair since Reconstruuction. And we did it with the lines THEY drew for the Districts. In ‘98 we took the Governorship, and kept both Chambers.
It CAN happen- if we can do it, so can you. It won't be easy, or quick, but the good people of CT deserve so much better than they are getting from their government. Use this awful election tampering to get them motivated!

Here we are fighting for Tom Foley(R) who would would be considered a Green Party candidate liberal in 30 other states.

We live in a crazy, crazy blue-world here.

For example, it may surprise some non-Nutmeggers here that we’ve had a “Republican” Governor since I moved here in 1991. (Technicality, Weicker was an Independent while Governor - and while instituting taxes out the wazoo- but was a “republican” his entire polical life prior.)

Another technicality may be whether Jodi Rell actually exists or not.

Sigh.
