The announcements were coming shortly after Obama arrived in Mumbai, where his first stop was at the Taj Mahal hotel to commemorate the 2008 terror attacks that killed 166 people across the city.

What a shame he couldnt be bothered to commemorate 911 or Ft Hood

Anyone care to bet this involves waiving or watering-down ITAR restrictions on exports to India?

Guaranteed.

“For the most part, the deals were already pending,”

So, in effect, he’s taking 3000 people and spending bazillions of dollars to shake hands on a deal that was already made?

For a lot less he could have attended a Chamber of Commerce meeting and cut a ribbon.

I am torn on this one.

I myself tried to get some defense trade going with India several years ago. restricted trade.

I love the peoples of India, BUT they have many allegiances.
Many states are flat out Communist.

“the deals were already pending, but the White House contends Obama’s visit to India helped finalize them.”

So private businesses made deals with businesses in India, but were not allowed to send out a Press release as the White House demanded that Barry be able to announce and steal credit for the progress. Despite the billion dollar price tag for Barry’s vacation he supplies no useful function other than self-aggrandizement. The pyramid builders at Boeing are forced to pay homage to King Barry.

Yeah. I noticed that too.

Can’t say anything that’s printable about that.

Back when Slick Willie was president and he took an enormous entourage to China, he sold seats on the trip to the businessmen and businesswomen who went. A campaign donation of suitable size to the DNC was the price of the seat.

I'm surprised that I've not seen anything like that reported for this trip. They must be keeping this kind of corruption under wraps.

Obama honors Mahatma Ghandi while spending 200 mil a day.

Hey Barry, Ghandi lived on $2 a day. What irony.

The details will come out.
Watch the hindustan times or the straits times.

They are very detail oriented.

If you look carefully at the "deals" you'll find offsets in all of them: local sourced production is always a part of foreign military contracts.

That's how they learn how to do it and build the things on their own. Which they definitely plan to do, just as soon as they loot the suckers for their technology.

More bull crap White House spin.(For the most part, the deals were already pending, but the White House contends Obama’s visit to India helped finalize them.)

This is one of the many reasons the Dem's bit the dusk on Nov.ND. Obama getting credit for something he didn't really do. The One will proudly laud that he saved/created millions of jobs on his overseas junket?

Yes, but there will still be masters. The playing field just gets more confusing.

Who are the new the folks that have designs on being the new masters?

Well, they are communists, wrapped in popularism. Snakeoil salesmen, concerned with the woes of the common man. Step right up, cures capitalism, psoriasis, heartbreak and irritable bladder...

Witness the Chinese.

The very people that Obama rails against to the masses.

Interesting statement. Is that kind of like "Debbie does Dallas?"

My guess is it's more like "Debbie gets done by Dallas".

I wonder if he'll apologize to India for British colonialism. And certainly he'll run down the United States.
