The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has a Christmas gift in store for the phone and cable industry: it may move ahead on its controversial net-neutrality regulations three days before Christmas.

An FCC source confirmed on Friday that the commission plans to push its December meeting back by a week, meaning it will fall on the 22nd of the month. That's the same meeting in which analysts say the agency may move forward on its controversial net-neutrality proposal.

It says that Congress shall pass no law.

So we’ll just regulate ourselves the power. :)

That's brilliant. And true.

Posting of “copyrighted material” will be grounds for shutting down websites. So if DU’ers come over here and plant “copyrighted material” and then run and file a case against FR with the FCC, we get shut down (or are forced to defend against said charges, all in the name of protecting intellectual property. I smell a HUGH and SERIES rat!

Is there ANY non-military government agency left that hasn’t gone rogue?

"On Thursday, the Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously approved a bill that would give the Attorney General the right to shut down websites with a court order if copyright infringement is deemed “central to the activity” of the site — regardless if the website has actually committed a crime. The Combating Online Infringement and Counterfeits Act (COICA) is among the most draconian laws ever considered to combat digital piracy, and contains what some have called the “nuclear option,” which would essentially allow the Attorney General to turn suspected websites “off.” "

I doubt they will limit their "nuclear option" to ridding us of just hacked/wares sites. They (Holder & Co.)will abuse this and use it against their "enemies"! Death by a thousand papercuts...

See how it works? A bill such as this is voted down by Congress and the O admin says “so what” we will do it anyway.

Do not act surprised, this is the same thing that happened in the Gulf of Mexico regarding oil rigs. That time the court order was ignored. This time the Congress is ignored.

Question is, what do we do about it? I only see this behavior escalating.

Just as our anger escalates!

Remember, if these folks are doing this to evoke a response so they can declare martial law, they had better be ready to play hard ball.

What is Obama going to do...lock up over 200 million US Citizens for resisiting? Can he count on NO defections from the military, police, CIA, FBI should he continue down this road? Sound far fetched? Better think again.

Obama should seriously reconsider this path he’s going down. Day by day he’s being seen as the enemy of the American people (i.e. exemting Muslims from TSA screenings, controlling the internet, destroying health care, publically speaking out against America etc.).

He knows the midterm election were a mandate against him and his policies. He’ll be considered responsible for whatever uprising ensues. Nicolai Ceausescu thought he could also control every uprising…oops! He’s boxing hinself into a corner. He will not win this battle.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Here’s another example of the Left pushing through what it wants over everyone’s objection. What’s more, it’s not in the nation’s best interest.

Not only won’t our side EVER do this, but our efforts ARE in the nation’s best interest.

This is why the Left continually wins, and we continually lose.

Our leaders sit there wringing their hands and chanting me oh my every time they run up against opposition.

Buy a clue you pansies.
