Whoopi Goldberg on Tuesday demonstrated an absolutely staggering ignorance concerning a variety of subjects.
Appearing on Fox News's "O'Reilly Factor," Goldberg admitted not knowing what a madrasa is, said it wasn't the Japanese that attacked America at Pearl Harbor, and claimed Muslims in America are more persecuted than Jews (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Goldberg doesn't know it was the Japanese Navy — thinks it was the Japanese Army.
O’Reilly doesn't know it was the Japanese Navy — thinks it was their Air Force.
Now Pearl Harbor was an inside job! It’s a conspiracy, I tell ya!
OK, folks, we at Free Republic hold ourselves to higher standards than this.
I have zero respect for Whoopi Goldberg and her views. However, that being said, we need to look at the transcripts.
As I read them, Whoopi was arguing that there was a distinction between the Japanese Air Force (actually, Japanese Naval Aviation) and the Japanese people. Whoopi was arguing that the MILITARY, not the PEOPLE were the attackers.
She obviously is coming from the Hollywood/Liberal point of view that “we citizens have nothing to do with those knuckle dragging military types!” Ergo, the Japanese (people) had nothing to do with the attack perpetrated by the (Japanese) MILITARY. And you know that all those military types are the same. Not REALLY people like the civilians.
Whoopi is probably aware that the ethnicity & nationality of the MILITARY attackers was Japanese.
“Goldberg apparently has “a problem” saying it was the Japanese because all of that nation’s people weren’t on the planes that morning!”
This is a quote from the article. Liberals have no problem holding ALL whites responsible for slavery policies that ended a century and a half ago, but won’t extend the same “collective responsibility” notion to any other group.
quote-Couple that with the 6 children shes aborted in her career, and you have yourself a rather contemptible person.—end quote
She’s clearly no expert on American history, but the 6 abortions definitely make her an expert on mass murderers.
Me too. Went to the "Judge" on Fox Business. Couldn't stand the combination of the big "O" and this nitwit.
Liberal or skull crushing stupidity... take your pick.
Bastid..I puked out my burger from laughing.
Comedian using a stage name—I guess “Caryn Johnson” (IIRC) wasn’t as funny-sounding
“The only people, the only people with Jewish names these days are black people—Whoopi Goldberg!”—Jackie Mason
Do you honestly believe Whoopi, and most other people who may reflect her same political viewpoint, draw that same distinction with respect to Nagasaki/Hiroshima?
Or, do you think it more likely that she'd agree with those that would say America nuked two Japanese cities?
The intellectual dishonesty Whoopi conveys in not just this topic, but most of the topics upon which she opines, is remarkable.
And don’t forget what Mr. Blutarski ended up making a career out of at the end of the movie. Drum roll please..... a politician in the United States Senate!!! I’m sure as a Senator he had a Pearl Harbor dedication in which he talked of how those brave Americans fought valiantly against the Germans... LOL!!!
And while tomorrow she may be better informed, she will still be ignorant.
She thinks there’s an American flag planted on Mars too!
OK, then I'm sure she'll argue that "America" didn't nuke Hiroshima, it was just a few Air Force guys.
Look this is typical of the left, they get information from liberal sources that omit anything from the news they do not like.
I saw that interview and was appalled at Whoopi’s ignorance of history and current events..
But a performance like that just reinforces to the viewers why we can not trust our future to the liberals
Yeah and you can’t melt steel with fire!
I say we play her game. We now can say that FDR was part of the conspiracy to detract from his failed social programs and therefore we must defund them immediately.
I've heard John Mellencamp try to pull this garbage before on a PBS interview.
in all truth, she did say the military of japan attacked pearl harbor.
she objected to the way it was said, as if it meant the entire Japanese people or everyone of japanese ancestry.
