Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) denounced the Bush family as "blue bloods" in an interview posted Wednesday and remarked that a mentality like theirs helped to cause the economic downturn.
Her comment came in response to a statement made by former first lady Barbara Bush during an interview with CNN's Larry King earlier this week. Asked for her take on Palin, Bush told King: "I think she's very happy in Alaska, and I hope she'll stay there."
Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham followed up with Palin, asking if she thought Bush's comment had been planned ahead of time. Palin had this to say:

You know what she meant. She doesnt want her near D.C.
This is another reason to get rid of political dynasties like Bushes, Kennedy's, Gore, and all the rest.
That *is* a good line, and at least she would have responded to an out-of-line remark that deserved a pointed response.
She’s spot on! Hurrah!
“Sara is sounding pretty thin skinned.”
“Best to let those coments go by the wayside rather than respond.”
Really, I hope you are not one of those that said Bush should have answered his critics rather remain quiet about them. She has every right to respond. However, I would have responded with a question. “Why should I stay in Alaska Babs?”
And most conservatives hope no one from the Bush family gets within 2000 miles of the WH ever again, Babs.
You know, I guess I do agree with the full quote. I purposely did not read the article because I did not want to give it a “hit” and sort of add to the supposed interest and thus fan the flames here. But certainly, the full quote gives a much more nuanced response than a mere tit-for-tat impression that the truncated post here suggests.
She then refers to the same mentality in regard to financial issues.
The headline doesn't accurately reflect the quote, IMHO.
You’ve nailed it.
Are not the Bush's the definition of “Blue Bloods?
I am so OVER the “dynasty” politicians. W 2000-2004 was a good president. 2004-2008 I don't know who that guy was. Now, he is even more irrelevant. His mother is CERTAINLY irrelevant. All the Bush's need to STFU and Sarah should defend herself each and every time she is attacked.
I like all the Bush family, they governed center-right..but they coddle the Democrats way too much.
So why not coddle Palin? Why tell any American to “stay in their state”? Why tell the MSM that a Republican out working against the Democrats should not dare to run against said liberals?
Why should Palin shut up??
I Obviously can’t type today.... Or maybe thats every day. I need to remember that spell checker is my friend. :-)
I don’t support Palin very often since there’s such a glut of that on this forum. In this instance I will.
I like Barbara Bush, despite not caring a whole lot for the Bushes. After seeing what ‘their’ best handed this nation off to twice, lets just say I’m not a big fan.
Barbara, you are the one who should keep your yap shut. I’m not impressed with Palin as a presidential candidate, but the idea that Mitt Romney is better, is a flawed one. Severely IMO.
LOL. There you go.
Amen to that!
Sarah should let the rest of us insult the blue bloods for her, even though she is right. The troops have to have something to do. Barbara’s remark was purely maternal in nature. She is protecting her cub Jeb and his blue blooded right to be president. Barbara is old, and probably not fully cognizant of the Tea Party’s ascendancy or the decline of establishment sleazeballs in the halls of power.
Are you kidding? You can’t believe what you wrote.
