(Maryland!) State Delegate to Sue MD College over Illegals

WASHINGTON - A Maryland state delegate is preparing to file a civil injunction against Montgomery College for allowing illegal immigrants to attend the school, 630 WMAL News has learned.

"According to the statistics we have, we think it could be as much as $10 million in taxpayer subsidies being used for in-state tuition illegally," said Delegate Pat McDonough, a Republican representing Baltimore and Harford counties.

McDonough called for a criminal investigation into the public institution last month. While some other public universities in the area allow illegal immigrants as students, Montgomery College is one of the few to afford them with low in-state tuition rates.

The blame falls on the college and County Executive Ike Leggett for allowing illegal aliens not only to attend the school, but to pay the same costs as legal in-state students, McDonough told WMAL. He added that the injunction will be filed "in the very near future."

"They've all pleaded guilty," he said. "What they don't understand is, you're entitled to your own opinion, but you're not entitled to your own law. So we plan to go to the state prosecutor and the federal prosecutor because it's a violation of both federal and state law."

Some Montgomery County residents are already planning to join the lawsuit, McDonough said. He called Montgomery College the "tip of the iceburg," and says he suspects illegals are being offered similar deals at other public institutions of higher learning in the state.

"The money has already been spent," he said. "The taxpayer's money has already been used under unlawful conditions. Somebody has to be responsible for that."

This is why my elderly mother is paying over $3,000 for a property taxes, that is supposedly valued at $400,000 but, in reality if sold she would be lucky to get $275,000.

I pay a lot more for a lot less in Fort Worth, Texas. Gotta pay for all those services illegals suck up.

No kidding!!! Her taxes keep going up and up. The property values in her area were over inflated a couple of years ago. She lives in a house that’s 58 years old and is just one of those little brick ranch houses. 3 bedroom 2 bath, finished basement. The rooms are small, house is maybe 1000 sq.ft.

"What they don't understand is, you're entitled to your own opinion, but you're not entitled to your own law."

This statement perfectly describes the basic problem with the liberal agenda in this country.

Bravo, worth repeating.

If the courts rule against this legislator and those who join him in the lawsuit....there needs to be forced removal of the judges....Federal Law states that you cannot give Illegal Aliens in-state tuition if you do not give in-state tuition to others

Seal the Border and deport 100% of all Illegal Aliens...anything else is Illegal Alien Amnesty. Any mention of “Comprehensive Immigration Reform” is Illegal Alien Amnesty

Just the beginning. These push back suits will be brought all over the country and we will win many of them. One will make it to the Supreme Court who will ultimately rule for us.
