I used to play womens' pro baseball. I got injured slightly and injured more than slighty all the time.

No one ever knew about it unless it would hurt the team. We gals ALL played hurt. Never let on.

Sissy Obama would never make OUR team.

I’m embarrassed to admit I went straight over there, but I was so curious to find out how they were reacting.

I think if you want to go straight, it will be better to stay at Free Republic. LOL!!

Under Obamacare, a little person would be lucky to get stitches. After an eight hour ER wait the Rx would be to "put some ice on that".

I like the angle you're taking on this story :-) He even got anesthesia and probably an ice cream cone out of the deal.

Someone should ask Robert Gibbs how many minutes it took for the Emperor to receive his treatment, and the cost.

Thank you. I’ve been using some of them, but it’s always nice to have a list of what we can do.

Competitive, athletic women are tougher than most guys...

In this case we're talking about Obongo's pretty face here. It's not like Reggie Love can just kiss his boo-boo and make it go away.

And Barry's already "playing hurt" - he's reportedly on an "anti-inflammatory" for a pimple on his @ss.

Well, on the up side, maybe it means he won’t call a press conferenc for awhile! Maybe for the next 2 years?

Yet more evidence of how much of our daily lives are focused on the federal executive. We have created a modern kingship, where a split lip is national news, yet the daily, monthly, even annual undertakings of our state legislatures - actions which significantly affect our lives - fail to make headlines outside little-read capitol newspapers. The presidency has become increasingly imperial and intolerable, with no expense spared for the comfort and safety of one man and no limit to the focus on his every action or inaction; even his wife, an unelected individual, has a paid staff of 24. If we spent half the time, energy and money on our local and state governments - the one’s our Founders meant for us to focus on - as we do on the federal executive alone, we would have vastly improved and more accountable government. There is no reason that the Congress should be meeting year round, and there is no reason that the president should be the focus of daily attention unless there are concerns for our common defense or other appropriate issues. We must break the power of this federal government, and our slavish mindset toward it, or it will surely break us.
