Here, for the first time in US HISTORY, we might actually be getting the ACTUAL TRUTH, and we want the people who are GIVING US THE TRUTH to be jailed. This seems odd.

Post 16 gives some reasons why.

Are you a friggin' idiot???

Along with "we" getting the "ACTUAL TRUTH" (!!!!) every jihadi with a buck for a newspaper will know the "ACTUAL TRUTH" (!!!!) about lots of things that should be secret.

Are you REALLY so naive that you believe the well-worn liberal mantra that "the people" should know EVERYTHING? (Friends, allies, enemies, traitors, all are equal huh?)

Guess what, lots of folks within "the people" are NOT going to use such knowledge to HELP America and her people.

The people who SHOULD be allowed to know sensitive information about our military and our government are those who are trustworthy, patriotic -- the "I love America" kind, not the "How DARE you question my patriotism!" kind -- AND have a need to know.

There are plenty of good, honorable reasons for a responsible government to keep some secrets from most of its people.

It doesn’t give any reasons at all. Just some cartoons.

When it was revealed that we cracked the JAPS code, did that destroy our nation?

What has been revealed in these documents that is endangering troops?

Seems to me it’s more like an intelligence briefing for the public, without the PC crap.

Name one thing that has been revealed, so far, that our enemies don’t already know.

: ) Thanks for the response.

If the NYT says the release of the documents is bad, then my guess is that the documents incriminate the NYT in misleading the public and attempting to rig elections, along with plenty of other people in the media.

If the NYT said the release was a good thing, then I would have been more worried about what is in those documents, and that it would damage our nation.

I still say that knowing how our ‘leaders’ have been really doing their job, and what they really say, will do more good than harm.
