Perhaps you can answer something I’ve wondered about relevant to this issue.

Isn’t there software available that detects when copying, to flash drive or CD, is started?

Why wasn’t such software installed on “secret” computers?

Absolutely. All the anti-virus tools use such hooks to tell when a program is trying to write to a disk, or connect to the internet. Those hooks, and probably other methods, could have been used to turn off write capability to flash or CD.

Yes, there is all sorts of software and firmware written to do exactly that. I maintain that someone in a very high place wants this info leaked. That is also why the Wiki dude hasn't been caught. If they really wanted the Wiki dude he'd be sitting in a cage right now....
