Several Texas conservatives are vowing to make Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) pay for her primary challenge to popular Republican Gov. Rick Perry.
The four-term senator hasnt announced whether shell run for reelection, but, no matter her decision, Tea Party activists are preparing to run their own candidates.
Because of that, GOP activists and strategists suspect retirement will prove the more attractive option for the senator.
Hutchison lost a contentious primary to Perry in March, and her decision to challenge the sitting governor saw her go from one of the states most popular politicians to someone struggling for favor within her own party.
Austin-based Tea Party activist Dean Wright said he anticipates as many as six to eight candidates challenging Hutchison from the right if she attempts to stick it out in 2012.
Shes burned some bridges, Wright said. And she hasnt embraced the grassroots.
When asked for comment, Hutchisons office only said: The senator has not yet announced her plans.
In the gubernatorial primary, one of Perrys most effective tactics was to paint Hutchison as too far to the left for the Texas GOP. Her vote in favor of the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) proved Perrys trump card. His campaign tagged the senator with the moniker Kay Bailout Hutchison and successfully branded her as a Washington insider. She lost by more than 20 points.

Republic of Texas, you are right. Hutchison, Cornyn, and Perry are all open-border RINOs.
And Perry is in violation of Federal Law TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 14 > SUBCHAPTER IV > § 1644 dealing with communication between state and local government agencies and Immigration and Naturalization Service.
And TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER II > Part IX > § 1373 which expands on the freedom to communicate with the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 14 > SUBCHAPTER IV > § 1644
§ 1644. Communication between State and local government agencies and Immigration and Naturalization Service
Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal, State, or local law, no State or local government entity may be prohibited, or in any way restricted, from sending to or receiving from the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of an alien in the United States.
TITLE 8 > CHAPTER 12 > SUBCHAPTER II > Part IX > § 1373
§ 1373. Communication between government agencies and the Immigration and Naturalization Service
(a) In general
Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal, State, or local law, a Federal, State, or local government entity or official may not prohibit, or in any way restrict, any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual.
(b) Additional authority of government entities
Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal, State, or local law, no person or agency may prohibit, or in any way restrict, a Federal, State, or local government entity from doing any of the following with respect to information regarding the immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual:
(1) Sending such information to, or requesting or receiving such information from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
(2) Maintaining such information.
(3) Exchanging such information with any other Federal, State, or local government entity.
“Governor Perry specifically pointed out that the Arizona legislation turns law enforcement officers into immigration officials by requiring them to determine immigration status during any lawful contact with a suspected alien, taking officers away from their existing law enforcement duties, which are critical to keeping citizens safe. The governor believes the focus of law enforcement should continue to be on the criminal elements involved with conducting criminal act against Texans and their property.”
Kaylid Sheik Hutchison in the Tea Party’s crosshairs!

It’s coming like a train. :)
Retire if she’s smart.
Maybe NOW is a good time for her to re-think
and ACT UPON that pledge to serve “X” years,
and then retire. I think she is SEVERAL years
PAST that date. All in the name of helping to
stop Obummer methinks.
And you believed her?
HI MEEK!!
Yeah, she broke that pledge. They all do if they can.
We have a much better chance of getting a real conservative in now, I think. Texas had a BIG turnover, I was surprised at how big it was.
Howdy!
Yes, I look forward to a real Conservative Senator to join with Cornyn.
Yes! The Texas House went from:
GOP 76 DEM 74

GOP 99 DEM 51
GAINED 23 seat. Now THAT’S a MANDATE!
I support Ken Paxton, NOT RINO Joe Straus.
But I have NOT heard back from my Rep Joe Driver when I email him or tweak him on his FB page. :(

- I heard this tonight on FNC from a nutty lib woman talk show host:
“Every $1.00 of unemployment benefits creates $1.90!”
They just make this crud up!
Didn’t like my punny, huh. Funny how those who rant madly never seem to get chastised. I sometimes read threads in amazement.
No, the $1. creates $1.90 doesn’t make any sense.
