Bristol Palin, Keith Olbermann Trade Barbs
CBS News ^ | December 3, 2010

Posted on 12/03/2010 2:29:37 PM PST by Pinkbell

(AP) Bristol Palin is striking back against MSNBC host Keith Olbermann for dubbing her "worst person in the world."

Olbermann gave her the title on his show earlier this week, casting her as a hypocrite for appearing in a public service announcement promoting abstinence and safe sex. Palin was an unmarried teenager when she had her son, Tripp.

He likened her being an abstinence spokeswoman to saying former President George W. Bush "kept us safe, 'cept for that 9-11 thing, which doesn't count."

The 20-year-old "Dancing With the Stars" diva and daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin defended herself on Facebook Thursday. She said calling her a hypocrite is an "old canard." And she said that what Olbermann lacks in originality he makes up for with "insincere incredulity."

There are big differences between them, Meghan McCain is like you, mean, bitter, petty, liberal, pro-abortion, and pro-Romney, Bristol Palin is a sweet young girl that is pro-life, and a nice person.

Romney has had to battle crap like this from day one. He’s a warrior..and the more he fights, the more I like him.

I am not for special rights, but I support anyone to live the life they want to live..just not force it on me. I am pro choice, I hate abortion, but I don’t see how it can be outlawed now...it is not the issue I care the most about. Anything else you want to know? I live in Arizona.

You said Bristol was not too bright (Megan has proved she isn't smart)—do you know her? do you have empirical evidence that she is a dunce? If making a personal mistake means a lower IQ I do hope you are not in the judiciary.

Your post was petty petulant catty and insulting—thus you deserve in kind dissent.

I leave my ulu in the corner of the kitchen, wrapped. It’s so sharp I’m afraid to use it :-) Honestly, who is dumb enough to piss off women with guns and ulus?

TWO YEARS AGO I said something nice about Mitt Romney. This is the last time I am going to say this. I will never support Mitt Romney in 2012 and as of now, I don’t support Sarah Palin. I pray someone else emerges, but this Mitt Romney obsession has got to end. IT’S BORING. Why can’t you discuss the issues head on without bringing up something I said two years ago that has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.

I think her coming back at Olbermann is classless and, frankly. immature

I think it's not only funny, but the classy manner in which she did it is an example of how to stand up to frauds like Olbermann.

She won this round. Olby lost it when he announced Bristol as "the worst person in the world" making a fool of himself. She raised the stakes and took the pot, elevating herself in a good way.

"... casting her as a hypocrite for appearing in a public service announcement promoting abstinence and safe sex..."

Yeah, that's a good one alright Kreep.

How 'bout this one...

Olberman claims of having an Ivy League education smells like a...oh I don't know...barnyard.

If Keith hates ya, that means you are doing something right in life. Because the people Keith loves are totally corrupt.

Meghan is a RINO progressive; doing everything she can to eliminate the stain of conservatism from the GOP.

“casting her as a hypocrite for appearing in a public service announcement promoting abstinence and safe sex.”

We all fall short of the grace of God. Even if we have a good and strong faith, falling short is always possible.

But, “falling short” does not mean we are “hypocrites” when we do, and in Bristol’s case she has personal knowledge of the problems, moral and otherwise, that one has to face if someone does not practice abstinence and fidelity, but would NOT have to face if they did.

In my opinion, in her own way, Bristol is not preaching “do as I do” or even “do as I believe”; she’s saying, “don’t make the mistake I made”. That’s not being a hypocrite. That comes from both her faith AND her experience.

It’s all about the fame these days. I bet you a strong majority of teens and twentysomethings would rather be famous than talented. And why not? It’s not like you see productive members of society lauded anywhere but Chamber of Commerce meetings. The dregs of humanity own our TV screens and often the bookshelves. And they seem to be pretty well-off as a result. Bristol Palin’s celebrity is merely a symptom of the disease. But I don’t fault her for bashing Olbermann back—it keeps the fame going, and the reality tv dollars, for an otherwise no-education, no-talent kid, rolling in.

LOL, you hate Palin because she is conservative, your pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-Romney belief system could never tolerate a conservative like Governor Palin, that is why you get so nasty and go after her children, and what a nasty, judgemental way you do it too.

You are FR’s own little Meghan McCain.

Bristol has done nothing wrong, what teenage working mom would have turned down $345,000.00 for a 2 month participation on DWTS, that also helped her pro-life, pro-abstinence campaign, and also helped her mom?

Oh for Petes sake Lakeshark, nobody has arrived until Keif makes them Worst Person In The World. Heck Rush, Glenn Beck, even Steve Doocy’s son has had the honor of offending Keif numerous times.

A person does not respond to this pond scum. That is the way it is.

If you have a point that you want to take your pro-homosexual, pro-abortion, pro-Romney, liberal self to, then get to it.

Bristol was defending herself. If you can’t see the difference probably not much hope for you....I’m gonna guess when Romney starts swirling the bowl in 2012 you’ll come on FR and post something akin to “I’m gonna support Osamabama over Palin”.
