Doomsday warning of rising seas ‘was wrong’ [the world submerged by water, now looks ‘unlikely’]

Doomsday warning of rising seas ‘was wrong’ By Daily Mail Reporter - The Daily Mail` 11:23 AM 12/06/2010 ADVERTISEMENT

Alarming predictions that global warming could cause sea levels to rise 6ft in the next century are wrong, it has emerged.

The forecast made by the influential 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which would have seen cities around the world submerged by water, now looks ‘unlikely’.

A Met Office study also rules out the shutdown of the Atlantic Ocean’s conveyor belt, which would trigger Arctic winters in Britain like those seen in the film The Day After Tomorrow.

However, the report says the IPCC was right to warn of a sea level rise of up to 2ft by 2100, and that a 3ft rise could happen.

The IPCC underestimated the danger posed by the melting of the Greenland ice sheet and the release of methane from warmer wetlands, the report adds.

Vicky Pope, head of climate science at the Met Office, said: ‘In most cases, our new understanding has reinforced results from the IPCC report – and the degree of impact is about the same.’

I HAVE A DREAM…

Photobucket

An embittered former Senator and Vice President Al Gore is seen here en-route back to prison after a federal appeals court refused to review his 20 year sentence for GROSS HYPOCRICY for his lead role as spokesman in the “Climategate” fraud conspiracy.

The same court recently rejected the appeals of the lengthy sentences of the 137 alleged UN “scientists” – Gore’s co-conspirators – for falsifying data supporting so-called Cap and Trade legislation that trial testimony disclosed would have virtually destroyed what remained of the U.S. economy while unjustly enriching Gore and a cabal of insiders.

During his trial, Gore was notified by the Nobel Committee that he would have to return the large monetary prize and the gold metal awarded him in 2009. He told reporters that the last of his prize money had gone to the lawyers and Tipper pawned his medal when she left him for an achondroplastic dwarf NBA center and filed for divorce after his conviction.

Hey, look how many billions have been taken from the people with this scam. Look at the policies, legislation, limitations and burdens on the people created and continue.

They won.

From 1988

Interviewer: “If what you’re saying about the greenhouse effect is true, is anything going to look different down there in 20 years?”

James Hansen: “The West Side Highway [which runs along the Hudson River] will be under water. And there will be tape across the windows across the street because of high winds. And the same birds won’t be there. The trees in the median strip will change. There will be more police cars. Why? Well, you know what happens to crime when the heat goes up. Under the greenhouse effect, extreme weather increases. Depending on where you are in terms of the hydrological cycle, you get more of whatever you’re prone to get. New York can get droughts, the droughts can get more severe and you’ll have signs in restaurants saying “Water by request only.”

I guess Not

Interesting choice of a word.

Apparently, the "Global Warming" has been sub-merged.

Can I have my carbon footprint back?

I SO hope that you have the gift of prophesy!

This would make an excellent made for TV movie starring either Johnny Depp, Jon Lovitz, or an anime character as Al “Tommy Flanagan” Gore.

So the Met is saying that the data was all wrong, but the results will be the same? Fake, but accurate?

I believe Hansen is the moron who told Gore that sea levels would raise 80 ft, by Gore “modified” the data to predict only 20 feet to make it “more believable”

Here's what might’ve happened if the Cap n’ Trade Tax had gone through:

Interviewer: “If what you’re saying about the greenhouse effect is true, and the Cap n’ Trade Tax passes, is anything going to look different down there in 20 years?”

James Hansen: “The West Side Highway [which runs along the Hudson River] will be totally grown over with grass. And there will be boards over the windows across the street because of the closed businesses forced into bankruptcy due to the draconian Tax combined with unreasonable and unfair environmental laws limiting harmless CO2. And the same birds won’t be there because the extreme poverty brought on by these unreasonable laws will cause almost everyone to have to take up hunting to survive. The trees in the median strip will be gone to be used for fuel to keep citizens from freezing to death. There will be more police cars to arrest those trying to cut down the trees to save their lives. Why? Well, you know what happens to crime when you steal everything from a people and turn their once free Capitalist country into a Third Word country. Under extreme greenhouse laws, the likelihood of a Communist Totalitarian government being in control increases.”

Why do we keep believing these fools (scientists)? Absolutely, positively ALL LIFE is a result of photosynthesis. OOPS, WRONG. We have discovered life, very similar to life we already know about, (crabs, coral, etc.) miles beneath the ocean where sunlight can't penetrate. Life support (heat, nutrition) coming from within the earth itself to the ocean bottom through vents. Now, the fact that all life is carbon based is also wrong and life can be arsenic based. (”NASA press conference reveals new definition of life”).

“Scientists get excited about finding stone tools in a cave because these speak of intelligence—a toolmaker. They could not have designed themselves. Neither would anyone believe that the carved Presidents’ heads on Mt. Rushmore were the product of millions of years of chance erosion. We can recognize design—the evidence of the outworking of intelligence—in the man-made objects all around us. Similarly, in William Paley's famous argument, a watch implies a watchmaker. Today, however, a large proportion of people, including many leading scientists, believe that all plants and animals, including the incredibly complex brains of the people who make watches, motor cars, etc., were not designed by an intelligent God, but rather came from an unintelligent evolutionary process.”

When are we going to stop believing what these “experts” say just because they are scientists?

The government is lying to you.
The press/media is lying to you.
The scientific community is lying to you.

The analogy to “The Matrix” is not that far fetched. A totally ignorant, uninvolved, uninterested, lazy, population content to be manipulated as long as the controllers keep you happy enough to not question their pathetic existence.

I'll take the red pill.
