EXCLUSIVE: Bristol Palin Responds to Kathy Griffin's 'Fat' Attack

Kathy Griffin hosted the VH1 Divas salute to the troops this weekend, but her “jokes” about Bristol Palin being “fat” fell flat.

"She's the only contestant in the history of the show to actually gain weight," Griffin said in reference to Bristol's trip to the finals on “Dancing With the Stars.”

Even after the troops' loud booing, Griffin continued the attack.

"No, come on, come on. She gained like 30 pounds a week, I swear to God, it was fantastic,” Griffin said. “She's like the white Precious."

(Actress Gabourey Sidibe played the role of “Precious,” a 350-pound black woman in the hit Lee Daniels film which was released last year.)

First, to anybody with eyes, particularly red-blooded males, that’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard said about Bristol, and one of the dumbest I’ve heard said about any member of the family. And that’s an impressive achievement.

Second, aside from political disagreements, the one major beef folks on here had about President Bush is that he didn’t want to mix it up with folks when he was right and they were wrong. So now we have a candidate who will go at you if you do that, and so will her kids if you do it to them. And we have folks who say “ooh, that’s not nice.” Well...up yours, and the horse you rode in on. Enough is enough.

Kathy Lee got nasty about Bristol Palin to a group of soldiers.... saying something like Bristol put on 30 pounds per week. The soldiers booed. (they should have just shot her)

Although I had been inclined to think that they should say nothing, I'm now changing my mind. They've taken it and taken it and taken it - and they shouldn't have had to. If it had been Gov. Palin alone at whom the abuse had been hurled, even her supporters would've had to accept that it was simply part of the process. But to constantly harangue and harass her children goes beyond the pale. Americans have seen it going on for a while as liberals sowed the wind, and now, they'll reap the whilwind. The refudiation is on.

It's an interesting double standard that Meghan McCain, who I can't stand, gets attacked for her weight all the time... and nary a peep.

Griffin is an untalented hag, Cho is right behind her, but jokes are part of the deal you make when you seek the limelight. George Lopez joked about her weight in November so this is nothing new.

Her weight gain during the show was covered in the media tabloids (NY Daily News, The Daily Mirror etc...) and Bristol acknowledged it. Unfortunately we live in a celebrity obsessed culture, and wanting to be one is perplexing.

The other week someone I know was talking about a local club or something he worked with. “I guess Kathy Griffin goes there a lot. Whoever she was.”

A bit later my older female room mate made sexual advances and I realized absolutely that sexual perversion is Evil and connected with feminism, and never looked back.
