WRAL News has learned that Elizabeth Edwards passed away late Tuesday afternoon.

Cancer is a horrible, horrible disease. I hope that one day a cure is found. Too many wonderful people have died of this dreaded disease. God Bless your wife. I am so sorry for your loss as well

Her politics sucked, and to the end of her career, she tried to foist her dirtbag lawyer husband on the country...but -
- that being said, politics and life are temporary; the soul is eternal. I hope she made her peace with Christ and finds some rest.
Cancer sucks. It’s one of the horrors of life, and I will say a prayer for her soul - regardless of what I thought of her personally.
No doubt her hubby’s infidelity played hell on her mind while she was dealing with the cancer. Ol’ Silky Pony Johnny Ed needs to do some serious soul-searching himself.
Hell of a thing...how people mess up each other’s lives and think nothing of it.

God bless her. She took a lot of blows over the last several years. I really feel for her children and I’m sure our Lord will sustain them through this time of grief.
John Edwards will one day get what’s coming to him.
Pray for them, and pray for some brilliant young minds at places like Johns Hopkins to figure out a cure.

I remember a story a while back in which she said, “I’m a goner.” I was very sad for her. My father died of lung cancer. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

I never agreed with her or her evil husband on any political matter, but I beleive she was a good, decent, dedicated mom, wife and woman. I hate cancer, having lost my youngest daughter to that dreaded sickness and killer of innocents. Elizabeth Edwards, I know you are seated at the right hand of God Almighty. He, the master, will protect you forever and.....he, along with you, will hold protective watch over your children and loved ones for eternity. Dearest woman, may you rest in peace forever.
