So very sad to hear this. For such a sad and tragic life, I believe she tried to always managed to maintain a grateful and hopeful outlook. So sorry for her children and those who truly loved her.

Lord: Please cure the two worst diseases known on earth: Cancer and Liberalism.

Please be with those that are afflicted with the two diseases and comfort their family and friends until Thy will be done.

Having watched someone die of cancer..I find it hard to believe she typed that long message on her facebook the day before she died...but perhaps so.

Her family has my sympathies...except for Breck Girl...who I hope lands in prison.

To think I almost went to a party to meet him and decided at the last minute to give my ticket to another friend who really wanted to see him.

He was at two parties with friends of mine and to a person the women abhor him.

They really feel bad for Elizabeth.

You and me both. Watching my Dad die was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
Likewise. And I watched it when I was ten.

Rest, Ms. Edwards. You've earned it and then some.

Prayers for the family.
My brother is battling brain cancer. This is his second go-around with that disease. He had leukemia when he was a young child. I officially hate cancer.

...so now we need John Edwards (the psychic)?

Is that going to get me a DailyKos top ten journal?

After some of the things the left wrote about the death of Tony Snow, Lefties can kiss my rear end - my joke was rather innocous.

Your fear is understandable. Hopefully, your husband’s cancer was detected early and can be conquered quickly. Will pray for him and for you, and his treating medical team.

Prayers for you both. May I suggest that you invest $12 or whatever in a book called “Knockout” by Suzanne Somers? FORGET that she played a stupid idiot on Three’s Company, forget everything about her. The book is not HER — it’s a compilation of doctors working outside the cancer box to get cures. CURES. Cures where you keep your immune system and your health.

Look, if you don’t like anything any of these brilliant, world class doctors say in the book, you only wasted $12. But I believe you will understand cancer better, as well as the Official Cancer-Fighting Machine better, and it could save a life to get that understanding. Some “traditional” cancer treatments are as barbaric as leeches used to be. Just check it out — these are world-renowned MDs in here.

May your husband win this battle.

This is the hardest time of year to lose someone.

I used to think that until I lost my beloved husband on December 11th. 1985. Now Christmas is a comfort - heaven and earth seem so much closer at this time of year.

I hope Ms Edwards' family finds comfort too and may Elizabeth rest in peace.
