The Republicans should just let them rant and rave until Dec 31, 2010...then announce that they won’t vote for bill...and when they take over, just do what they want, and to hell with the Zeros.

Mine wasn’t a “Tea party” candidate but he did speak at the last tea party express event in this district. He’s definitely everything a tea partier could want and he won.

I agree. I was initially for the tax compromise but now I say let it die and we will take it all up in Jan.

1) Let the bill become a BIG mess.
2) Let it not pass.
3) Go back to your district.
4) Tell everyone that Obammy could not deliver his party, and that is why your taxes will rise in 2011.
5) New Year comes.
6) Taxes rise, and take home pay falls.
7) People are pissed.
8) Obammy and the Rats share the blame, and look more pathetic than they do now.
9) Introduce a more principled bill.
10) Look good whether it passes or not.

This is the perfect illustration of how earmarks cost much more that the pittance all the congress critters claim they cost. They are used to wheel and deal to get bigger omnibus bills passed.
Obama has actually gotten Bill Clinton to go out and defend this bill and encourage the Dems to go for it.

How could the Republicans not have known about all of the pork in this bill? Is it possible they didn’t know? I thought the deal was hammered out between them and Obama. This doesn’t look good for them.
