First, what happened to Biden’s “take it as it is” statement?
Second, I’m afraid the republicans have been outsmarted. And we all know that’s an easy thing to do. Even Fox news is calling this a tax cut. And when it fails the media will say the democrats killed the tax cut for the rich.
Here we are at square one again, and the GOP still doesn’t get it!
KILL THE BILL!
Don’t even talk to the dems. Vote against everything until the lame duck session is done.
“The Dems are soooooo clever. Theyre trying to make the Repubs kill it??”
Don’t be so sure that the republicans would kill it. The republicans seem to be thrilled with the idea of taking from Peter to pay Paul. Or taking from unborn children to prop up what is now. They are showing that they are just like the democrats in that regard.
The mid-terms sent a clear message but they arent listening and dont give a hoot.
A Contract from America was just signed and what do we get Stimulus II
This is BS
2010 Contract from America
1. Protect the Constitution
2. Reject Cap & Trade
3. Demand a Balanced Budget
4. Enact Fundamental Tax Reform
5. Restore Fiscal Responsibility & Constitutionally Limited Government
6. End Runaway Government Spending
7. Defund, Repeal, & Replace Government-run Health Care
8. Pass an All-of-the-Above Energy Policy
9. Stop the Pork
10. Stop the Tax Hikes
I believe her broom should be equipped with a straight jacket, and a lockset on the GPS directing her back to San Francisco, and let her spend all of hubby’s money from the 25 million vineyard!
Ring i ding ding...you are the winner...yes, that is what they are trying to do. And if they get them to kill the bill, then I say let’s make the tax cuts permanent, and only extend unemployment until spring...6 mo max. Then stop the rest of it, and aha a better bill.
Maine must freeze their brains, because Snow has done some stupid moves like the internet bill with Rockefeller.
Let them add amendment after amendment. Run out the clock on the lame duck session. Then in January put out a clean bill.
You ever have a moment (like I just did) where you say to yourself: "I've got a great comeback for that" and then you think about it for a second and think: "Yeah, let's not and say we did"
Thank you for your time and patience.
Where’s your link?
Flush ~
Are the candidates we voted for in November seated in Congress now?
This is the last gasp of the Libtard/RINO coalition, and they are bound and determined to order everything on the menu before handing the bill to the next Congress.
“Tie it up till the lame duck is dead.”
We have an out-to-lunch President
and Pelosi has gone insane w/ the Dems in Congress.
we have wimpy Republican leaders who cant learn to play hardball and spin things, so this “Republican” deal has more Dem pork than anything for Republicans.
It’s a circus.
You are right, a better deal can be made in January. Less deficit spending needed in the package.
bump
This is the unemployed Democrats making sure they get consulting jobs in industries like ethanol. Doesnt Nancy husband have some big shot job in Dole, who get their pineapples from you guessed it Samoa. I bet by following the money every one of these earmarks is another politician enrichment program.
The Democrats want to pass this as a last hurrah before they really have to fight for everything. Kill the bill and let the Tea Party propose a real tax cut instead of a 2 year hold the line bill.
Note that Charles Grassley, REPUBLICAN, is advancing the continued ethanol subsidies that only corn growers want.
One that Obama will make a big deal of vetoing. No, the only way for Republicans to get what they want is to gum up the works until January. For now, Democrats are in control ...and RINOS will try to hijack the GOP next year if they haven’t already succeeded now.
