President Obama signed the $858 billion tax package on Friday, calling it proof that Republicans and Democrats can work together.
At a signing ceremony for the package in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Obama thanked Republicans for working with the White House and acknowledged that there are parts of the package he himself opposes.
“That's the nature of compromise,” said Obama, who called the agreement “a good deal for the American people.”
“This is progress, and that's what they sent us here to achieve,” Obama said.
Obama’s agreement with Republicans to extend tax cuts signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2001 and 2003 infuriated Democrats and Obama’s liberal supporters. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) didn’t attend the singing ceremony, while Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.), the Republican most responsible for the deal, was in attendance.

Tax deal shows he can bend over
Obamao will be gone in two more years, and further tax cuts that will stimulate the economy can be made. That will show how Washington can compromise with the American taxpayers.
Larry Sinclair already proved Obama was able to bend over and enjoy it.
Everyone thought GW Bush was leaving office on a borrowed money spending spree that could not be beat.
Obama again shows Bush was a shrub.
Of course “Republicans and Demoncrats” can work together when they suffer no personal future consequences for their spending action. The word “conservative” might have no more fiscal meaning in the English language.

Excuse me, but doesnt this bill include a death tax hike of 35% that was not laid on my and all homeowners backs just yesterday.

If the repubs should get some balls and demand that BO cooperate by vacating our White House.
Contact your congressman, senators, County Sheriff, DA, State Legislators, Governor, and County Grand Jury Foreman and demand that they indict, prosecute, convict and imprison BO and all his local co-conspirators for TSA Sexual Assaults, Voter Fraud, Identity Theft, Illegal Foreign Campaign Contributions, Poisoning of the Gulf of Mexico, Embezzlement of Government funds etc.

Gar-lee! For 2 yrs. Obama’s been enjoying telling the Republicans basically “you have nothing to add to this bill, except to just go along with fabulous ME like dummies”. Now, his tune’s changed.
