Sixty million euros will enable the Palestinian Authority "to cover wages and pensions for essential civilian workers, particularly medical and teaching staff," Ashton said, and the remainder will be channeled through United Nations relief

Placed this in "crime and corruption" also as this is a very vivid change in policy on an international scale. Can't think of any words to put this in perspective. Please pray for Israel. I know G!D is watching over them but anyone who has not read Gen 12:3 should note G!D exists much more than their evolution, beliefs in nothingness, and pure anti-semitism/evil. Please pray for those "intelligent*insert sarcasm* folks in our US that seem to think destabilizing the ME and standing back from aide for Israel will only lead to us, we the people suffering at the hands of the arrogant narcissistic few.

They're such nice people; the refined Europeans I mean. Disturb the life of one of them today, if you can.

Before I quote the one line in the article that gave me hope, let me ask those who will reflexively jump and question my love of Israel to first check my blog,
Beyond the Cusp, which has articles over 80% on Israel and the Middle East. That said, quoting the final line of the article,
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has said that he would work to wean Israel from dependence of U.S. foreign aid, and add I wish Bibi success in this endeavor as freeing Israel from a need for any foreign aid will free Israel to act with total independence solely in her best interests. Such freedom would then put full power behind Israeli leaders words, as they would be free to act without answering to their financial big brother.

Was that aid supposed to come in US dollars? No loss, then. When I came here, it took 4.04 shekels to equal one dollar. Now it’s down to 3.59 and falling. How much was Israel supposed to get, anyway? Better we don’t impose on the US, and pay our own way.

Yes, it’s mentioned in the article. I have a slow running computer this AM but it’s a large sum, the strange part is holding back all aid.$$ to Israel yet all arab scrubs get money right away. True, sadly I think our country ( US) is doing everything it can to cut off israel despite what “we the people” wish, pray for and demand to help our israeli ally!
