HOLLYWOOD — A man was arrested after police said he was peeping through the window of a woman's home while standing outside masturbating.

Juan Miguel Cuadra, 35, told police he hadn't had a "girlfriend for a while and was desperate," according to the report of the New Year's Day incident.

The events that led to Cuadra's arrest began at 5:48 a.m. Saturday, when a woman phoned police about a man standing outside her apartment in the 3800 block of Van Buren Street. Cuadra lives about two blocks away.

Maybe it’s a cultural thingie for Juan Miguel Cuadra.

Maybe in the old country this is what they still do?

Yes, it is the thrill/danger of possibly being caught that compels them, not the actual visiaul stimuli.

I know this is from “South Florida Sun Sentinel” but it might be helpful for the unawares if you simply would have clicked “Florida” on the list of states when posting and it would show here:

“TOPICS: Culture/Society; Click to Add Topic”

Never mind, they wouldn’t read that either.

Interesting defense. As for the self abuse part, it usually involves a perp who could claim “insufficient evidence”, which might explain the ‘no girlfriend’.

This is a crime as old as man. As long as there are dirt bags and women, this will be making the papers.

“No strip clubs in Ft. La De Da?” According to Girls, Girls, Girls by Motley Crue that would be The Doll House.

There is no such thing as a “Cuban surname”, just as there is no such thing as a “Mexican surname” or a “Brazilian surname” because there is no Cuban, Mexican or Brazilian language to have provided the name. Surnames in Cuba are Spanish, French, English, Catalan and German, derived from the country of origin of the immigrant ancestor. By the same token, there is no such thing as an “American surname” - in the New World all surnames are from another country - unless you are referring to the tribal or clan name of Indians.
