"The xenophobic agenda has come to Texas," Adriana Cadena, a coordinator with the Reform Immigration for Texas Alliance, said at a Capitol news conference on Thursday. Cadena, whose alliance is a statewide network pushing immigration reform, was joined by dozens of advocates from the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund , the Texas Catholic Conference and other groups

I say we stop the flow, deport a bunch, and let the chips fall where they may.

He's concerned that convention business and investments in the state would dry up if Texas passes Arizona-style legislation.

LOL. This is an economy in which 50% of all new jobs are being created in one state, Texas.

The only alarm that needs to be sounded is the following Zogby poll of Mexican citizens (LINK):
Do you agree or disagree that the territory of the U.S. Southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico?
Agree: 58 percent
Disagree: 28 percent <= *
Not sure: 14 percent
Do you agree or disagree that Mexicans should have the right to enter the United States without U.S. permission?
Agree: 57 percent
Disagree: 35 percent <= *
Not sure: 7 percent
* Note: Only 28% and 35% of Mexicans believe that the US Southwest rightfully belongs to the US and that the US has the right to say if they can enter or not.

Arkansas isn't in that fictional map of mexico. It is still being taken over. The Toon and the Huckster invited them in. Esperanza, AR (it was “A Place Called Hope”) is over 10% hispanic now.
