I experienced and learned long ago that miscreants often project their very worst traits onto their opponents. I think it is a way they internally justify their own unjustifiable thoughts and actions. . . . IMHO
I have felt that the left has been trying to move to the next level to instigate a widespread societal change for some time. I have no doubts that they would be perfectly comfortable if that 'next level' turned out to be violent.
Look at any of the history of Obama's good friends Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. Or, listen to the rhetoric of his pastor Jeremiah Wright. Sample some of the nasty personality exhibited by Howard Dean or, one term congressman Alan Grayson who the left has voted the number one progressive politician in the country and then weigh their comments with the media culture in America and how much they would thrive over wide spread violence or serial killings and we have a blueprint for slipping into the kind of dangerous condition that pervades Mexico.
People say, "It can't happen here." --- Just look at what Obama and his Goldman Sachs pals are doing on the economical side and how much opposition they are getting from conservatives or how many questions are being explored by the media.
Then too, there's Obama's broad expansion of the powers of government to violate the 4th Amendment that have not even caused a peep from the ACLU or media.
I lived 25 miles from the crime scene when this happened. California demographics at the time were still somewhat like normal, traditional America. This crime spree had Southern Cal terrorized in a very real sense. People were fearful of every unexpected sound and knock on the door.
Up until the coming of Obama, Charles Manson was probably the man responsible for the greatest surge in firearm sales in the state.
