In reviewing many acts of political violence the major motivation seems to be fame seekers and nut cases. There are many examples of presidential assassins who are progressive, marxist, etc - left leaning. The violent groups through the 60's and 70's were mostly left leaning anti war groups. It is only recently (Oklahoma City) that there have been serious anti-government right wing led efforts. There is no real evidence that the right wing in the United States is prone to kill or blow things up for a political end (OK City a notable exception).

I was so glad that John Forbes Kerry lost.
This whole ordeal has made me so angry that I may vote for Palin just because it makes the right people angry. I'm not a Palin fan, but these awful people are using the murder of little girl and others to push politics. There truly is no shame left.

The most murderous political regimes in history have ALWAYS BEEN LEFT WING.
Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot. Remember them? They were not in favor of limited government and individual freedom, were they?

The news of the tragedy in Arizona has raised a lot of questions about the motives, speech, etc of the Right. Homeland Security Secretary Napolitano has raised concerns about "Lone Wolfs" and military threats. Worried about this all, I did a little check on past assassination of politicians in the US:

As far as Arizona goes, I bet we find out the kid suffers an untreated mental illness. Many of the assassins above had mental conditions, in which there target was an a-political choice simply selected for the moment. This has nothing to do with Palin or the Right.

A mindset that believes it can justify inflicting misery on others for the GREATER GOOD will always be more prone to violence than those who cherish individual responsibility and limited government. Its way too hard to stir up a group of independent thinking capitalists into a rioting mob. But a communist will always rationalize it as being for our own good; that the ends justify the means.
It really is a no brainer.
Can I have some serious proof that McVeigh was "right wing"?
Expecting the expected! And by the way the “critical thinking” phrase was invented by the Left.
