AUGUSTA — Police were called to the Maine Republican Party headquarters to investigate a threatening message that was discovered Wednesday morning.

The voice-mail message directly threatened Charlie Webster of Farmington, the party's chairman, said GOP Executive Director Christie-Lee McNally.

According to McNally, the message said: "A 9 mm might not be able to silence Charlie, but a .50-caliber will. And there's a lot of angry people out there, so Charlie Webster should be very careful."

R’s should publicize every death threat they get going forward. Then the D’s will have to spend their time manufacturing death threats in order to keep up.

If they can manufacture a link between the threat and a Tea Partier, they will.

Republican leaders get endless death threats from democrat party thugs.

Republican signs on front lawns, bumper stickers, etc. are commonly vandalized or torn down by democrat party paid operatives.

I'm sorry but this is only a police matter if the "target"(can I still say that?) is a democrat. Don't you know anything?

Putting tin-foil hat on here but notice, the Repubs that have been "threatened" are RINOs..one from AZ and one from Maine. Knowing how RINOs are detested by the TP and any 'thinking' Conservative American, the link can be manufactured & demonstrated more convincingly.

The liberals up here are especially upset. This is the first time in 50+ years that Republicans have controlled both houses of the Maine legislature and the governor’s office. On his first day, Governor LePage rescinded the sanctuary state order. That started them off screaming and they haven’t stopped yet.

BWAHAHAHAHA!

These asshats are so transparent. In attempting to sound dangerous, the caller unknowingly threatens to use a caliber that would almost be as self-incriminating as scratching his address on the bullet.

This "threat" is one cut above "my dad's gonna kick your ass!"

Funny thing is that LePage was hardly Charlie’s preference. Charlie’s a RINO and he would have loved to have had Suzie Collins’ chief of staff Steve Abbott win the nomination and governorship. But Abbott was trounced by LePage. Yes, LePage is off to a pretty good start and the libs in Maine are really ticked.
