McCain lauds Obama as a 'patriot' (*BARF*)
The Hill ^ | 1/14/11 | Jordan Fabian

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) — one of President Obama's most strident critics — praised the president's speech in Arizona at a memorial service for the victims of the Tucson shooting spree.

The Arizona senator and Obama's 2008 opponent penned an op-ed in the Washington Post, saying Obama "comforted and inspired the country" by calling for greater civility in the nation's political discourse.

"I disagree with many of the president's policies, but I believe he is a patriot sincerely intent on using his time in office to advance our country's cause," McCain wrote. "I reject accusations that his policies and beliefs make him unworthy to lead America or opposed to its founding ideals. And I reject accusations that Americans who vigorously oppose his policies are less intelligent, compassionate or just than those who support them."

This is just the US Senate being the US Senate...If Satan held office there his fellow Senators would be fawning over him and saying “how wonderful” he is. Even if Hitler, Stalin or Mao were there, they too, would be part of the “club”-—The Club that’s screwing all of us!

McStain-—people are sick of you. There’s only one US Senator I like and that’s DeMint from SC.

The only famous people I’ve ever met were 2 US Senators-—John Glenn and Carol Moseley Braun. Glenn in Portugal in 1965 and Braun in Botswana in 92 on her infamous South Africa tour. Don’t worry-—she got an earful from me. I tried to get her to autograph Rush’s book...snicker...

...saying Obama "comforted and inspired the country" by calling for greater civility in the nation's political discourse.

Memo to Juan: If these commies continue to "advance our nation" toward socialism, the political discourse is gonna get much more uncivil.

In the end, "my friend," you are either with us or against us. And, from where I sit, it looks like you are against us, and with the socialists, and communists.

One would think you would know better, having done time in a communist POW camp. Did they turn you? Or what?

PS Juan. I was neither comforted nor inspired by Obama's political rally held in Tuscon. I saw it as a cheap, and disgustingly gruesome play, in the political theater of the absurd.

PSS For politicians to take advantage of this tragedy, for political purpose, is as gross, as it is pathetic. Shame on Obama, and shame on you, Juan. Shame on all who participated in this gruesome political play.

“McCain was reprogrammed at the Hanoi Hilton.”

Have you been to Ha Noi? Have you talked to the North Vietnamese officials who broke him? Please tell me what first hand information you have McCain was “reprogrammed” in Ha Noi.

John McCain has done more than any government official to search for missing POW’s.

Before you say anything...let me tell you I met John McCain in Ha Noi when I was the 1SG/Office Manager of the POW/MIA office..also known as the Ranch and Det2.

I do not like his politics but..he has done more than anyone to assist in the recover of the POW’s and return them home.

The records are different than what you are saying.

Your sentiments toward Juan are not shared by many. Many in this case, people dealing with McCain on the subject of POWs.

One person opposed POW investigations, One Juan McCain

I asked what first hand information can you provide..have you been to Ha Noi..have you seen the records McCain reprogrammed..

You linked me to a video.

There are numerous people who are exploiting this issue for monetary gain. One is Billy Hendon..who is a fraud.

He came to Ha Noi when I was there. It was me who let him in the gate past the guard.

He wanted to give the det information the location of live POW’s.

In the conference room..he provided no new information regarding an underground prison.

He said..I forgot my papers in the hotel..brb,

I walked him to the gate. He reached into a brief case..pulled out a set of handcuffs and cuffed his hand to the front gate.

So I ask again what first hand information do you have.

The tall NCO in the formation is me. Taken in Ha Noi when Christopher came to open the US Consulate..later the embassy. The pilot on the right was the operations officer for Det2. The State Department wanted us to wear uniforms, our duty uniform was civilian clothes. McCain's politics are to left for me...but I can say,..there is no information he was reprogrammed. He was tortured and he got through it. Be careful not to be exploited by those who seek fame and fortune. It is sad there are people who milk money from the families of the POW's. Photobucket

I did not complain about what McCain has done about POW/MIA's. But his efforts there have nothing to do with the fact that he betrayed his country in his weak campaign against Obama. Indeed, he even defended Obama against valid questions from American voters as to his, Obama's, loyalty...saying he would NOT be a dangerous but a fine president (got that one wrong in a rather significant way).

His actions raise legitimate questions about his being reprogrammed.

Furthermore, your comment is based on specious logic which has nothing to do with the actions of McCain which call into question the issue of whether or not he has been reprogrammed.

there is no information he was reprogrammed.

In all due respect to your efforts with MIA/POW, do you honestly think the enemy is going to leave a paper trail? And do you honestly think that the enemy is going to ignore the fact that, given McCain's family position in the Navy, his value re: reprogramming would simply be overlooked?

But in the final analysis, the question is not evidence or paper trail, but action.

McCain's actions/inactions raise legitimate questions about his fitness to campaign. He refused to campaign diligently enough to expose Obama to the American people for what he is...an anti-American.

If he, McCain, believe his code of honor or the fact that he was too much of a gentleman would prevent his defense of this country against Obama in this most important battle, he should have withdrawn from the presidential campaign. The fact that he didn't and his actions in the campaign itself are out of character for a man of McCain's integrity.

There is a missing piece to this equation. I think you know what that means.

I thought about that abysmally stupid “suspension of campaign”, too. Often the question is asked of RINOs and other leftists... are they stupid or are they evil.

Well, putting aside the fact that stupidity itself can be a form of evil, in that it aids and abets evil even if unintentionally... I think in McCain’s case it’s very easy to choose: he is primarily stupid.

He is one of the stupidest Americans to ever live, let alone hold office. And it makes you wonder about the average IQ down there in AZ. What the f* is going on there?

takenoprisoner disagrees with you on the subject of POWs but even if you are right, that he worked hard to recover POWs, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t brain-washed and won-over in some fashion by his masters in Hanoi. What do they care whether or not he “works hard to recover POWS”? What they really wanted (and what they ended up getting, whether by their “brainwashing” actions or just because McCain is born stupid) was a closet socialist in a high position of power in the USA.

That’s what they got. Now maybe they didn’t do it, but that’s what they got. It doesn’t matter whether or not he “worked hard to free POWs”. That’s a side issue. He’s an enemy of freedom and liberty in the USA. That’s a big plus for commies and socialists everywhere.
