There are other candidates that are not so polarizing that have a real chance at getting elected. Michelle Bachmann is a lot better candidate than Sarah Palin. She just is. Sorry. And Im a mega conservative and a tea partier.I too am a "mega conservative and a tea partier" and I share your enthusiasm for Bachmann but before you pat yourself on the back for being such a "realist" I have to point out the obvious to you: House Reps have an extremely difficult road to the Presidency.
Has it ever been done? Certainly not in modern times.
Obama. Senator.
Bush II. Governor.
Clinton. Governor.
Bush I. VP.
Reagan. Governor.
Carter. Governor.
Nixon. VP.
Johnson. Senator.
Kennedy. Senator.
Eisenhower. General.
Truman. VP.
Roosevelt (FDR). Governor.
Hoover. Sec Commerce.
Coolidge. Governor.
Harding. Senator.
Wilson. Governor.
Taft. Governor-General of the Philippines
Roosevelt (Teddy). Governor.
And that's it for Presidents elected in the 20th and 21st centuries. Not a single House Rep among them.
So yes, I like Bachmann... BUT...

I agree but I think 2012 is going to be a different year. Things are wide open this time around thanks to the Tea Party may it live forever.
