The Muslim Brotherhood will ultimately come to power in all these countries, and the Islamist arc will extend from Tunisia to Turkey. Israel will be more surrounded than ever. Oil will be $250 a barrel. And the US will do nothing because we have a Harvard Marxist empty suit at the helm.

That’s the pessimistic view anyway.

I know I will be considered ‘crazy’, but I found this to be an excellent source for the ‘truth’ of what is happening over in the Arab World.

It’s very hard not to be pessimistic these days. Israel is being surrounding by muslim extremists and Rand Paul calls for stopping funding to our only ally in the region.

Can’t we help provide stability by taking out Mecca, Medina and Qom?

I say let islam starve, don’t sell them any food. They are draining their water reserves 25 time faster than they are naturally replaced. We can get oil here at home. Let them kill each other. They are a bunch of animals.

Jordan should be fine. Muslim Brotherhood is only popular with mostly Palestinians over there. They’re demanding more of a change in the cabinet than a regime change.

Not really. They have Gov'ts whose interests align with the USA's for the time being, and the like the money too. domestically, they continue the anti-infidel, anti-Jew propoganda and try to manipulate their Imams to get favorable propoganda, without letting the Islamists get too powerful. Its a recipe for instability. They are not our friends.

Israel is the only true Western, democratic, stable republic in the entire Mid-East. Because of their simple advantages of freedom and rule by law - 8 million Jews are able to keep 1.2 billion Arabs on their toes. It shows who are natural ally should be.

yah...I’m watching Mrs. Gibb’s little boy talk, and the stock market crash deeper the longer he goes on not answering even the most basic questions.

It is pretty clear that The Regime (in DC) is struggling to figure out what is going on in the Middle East and has absolutely no clue what to do about any of it.

I don’t care if they are children of God they don’t have a right to kill others because we disagree with them. Let them starve I have no obligation to feed someone that wants to kill my children. When they step up and stop killing others then I say we help them. Till then I call for a hands off approach to then middle east. We have no obligation to trade with some one who may kill us.

In all of these countries, I find it hard to sympathize with governments where the leaders consider their jobs to be permanent posts. Mubarak has been “president” ruling under “emergency powers” for 30 years. If I lived under that, and at the same time was forced to wipe my ass with my left hand every day, I would be pissed too. We need a middle east where governments are accountable and societies have freedom of information. I don’t want to see Iranian puppet states, but these double dealing dictators aren’t much better.

We are going to be blamed for this you know. In fact we already are many say the inflation in food prices are as a result of the Fed’s printing.

“However, the Fed’s monetary policy has also affected prices. The U.S. dollar has fallen substantially in the past three years, and the prices of agricultural commodities – which are priced in dollars – have reflected that decline

Surging food prices in 2008 led to riots in more than 30 countries and this year have already touched off protests in Tunisia and Algeria.”

If that is actually why they are rioting there is some truth to it even our own food prices are going up because of it. But I think that’s obviously only part of the problem.

In any event their governments are trying to buy commodities to ease the problem but now speculators are moving in and prices are already rising fast.

Food hoarding by governments keen to keep prices low is pushing prices higher

Of course timmy says...

“Inflation on a global level is “not high on the list of concerns,” even though emerging markets across the world are certainly “feeling some pressure” U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geither said Friday.”

Well I suppose now we can look forward to even higher prices on energy/food.

This is grass-roots uprising because of 30 years of dictatorship. The Muslim Brotherhood isn’t even getting involved.

This uprising and the one in Tunisia and Algeria and Yemen are a direct result of dictatorial oppression......

And the example that we, America set by creating democracy in Iraq with our blood and treasure. I’ve been saying it for 10 years, our nation-building in Iraq would set the middle east on fire and not even Islam will be able to put the fire out.

Freedom will find a way.

It may be Machiavellian, even sick, but I have never considered Moslems fighting Moslems, or Arabs fighting Arabs, as being detrimental to US interests. Put on the popcorn, man.

If it's not we'd better start preparing tonight for gas lines and urban unrest in the U.S.
