Explaining Democrats: They Hate Capitalism and They Love Power
Rush Limbaugh Show ^ | January 25, 2011 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 01/29/2011 6:38:36 AM PST by Son House

RUSH: Liz in Camden, Tennessee, it's great to have you with us, the EIB Network. Hello.

CALLER: Hello, Rush. It's a delight and an honor to get to finally speak to you after all these years.

RUSH: Well, thank yeeew so much.

CALLER: I've got a question.

RUSH: What is it?

CALLER: I'm one of those what the Democrats think as dumb Americans. Could you explain to me why the media and the Democratic Party are trashing the Republicans for all the cuts that are fixin' to be made but yet they have not one -- not one, correct me if I'm wrong -- idea or policy set up?

RUSH: It's a great question, and it is just the Democrat Party playbook. I don't know how old you are, and I'm not going to ask, but for as long as I've been alive, this has been the mantra. I remember after Reagan's second term election, people like David Broder of the Washington Post said, "It's a triumph of greed and selfishness over common sense."

Reagan was routinely accused of being responsible for AIDS. Reagan was said to have been responsible for homelessness, that in effect Reagan went outside and crossed the street in Lafayette Park and stole pork 'n' beans from the homeless, went back to the White House kitchen, cooked 'em up and ate 'em and had a great time. It's standard operating procedure.

It's the template: "Republicans hate people, kill people, particularly old people," and they're dredging it up here. That's all they've got.

CALLER: But, Rush, what I'm asking is, see: In order to have a debate or discussion you've got to have your own agenda, right?

RUSH: No, you don't. No, no. That's my point. I know what you're asking. The Republicans have made clear what they want to cut, some of the things. They've identified some of it. But even if they hadn't, all the Republicans have to do is start talking about reducing spending and the Democrats start having a cow and they bring up this parade of victims. It's standard operating procedure.

CALLER: Well, do the Democrats think we have a money tree in the backyard?

RUSH: Yeah. It's called a printing press. They do.

CALLER: Well, what's gonna happen when the printing press runs out of ink?

RUSH: It won't.

CALLER: Eventually it will. (chuckles)

RUSH: No, it won't run outta ink and it won't run outta paper. The paper will just become valueless.

CALLER: That's what I'm saying. It won't be worth of paper it's printed on.

RUSH: So look, let me ask you a very salient question.

CALLER: Yes, sir.

RUSH: It's obvious that you know all this. It's obvious that you know the drawbacks of excessive, senseless spending. It's obvious that you and a lot of people understand this is unsustainable. So the question for you is: Why are the Democrats doing it?

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: No. Do you have an answer?

CALLER: Why are they doing this?

RUSH: Why are they doing it? They know just as well as you do how it's unsustainable, how it's unsupportable. It can't work. Why are they doing it?

CALLER: To be honest with you, they're cutting off their nose to spite their face.

RUSH: (sigh) No. They're doing it on purpose.

CALLER: But aren't they gonna be in the barrel with everybody else?

RUSH: Yeah, but they don't know that, and they don't realize that, and they're not... No, actually they don't think they're gonna be in the barrel with everybody else.

CALLER: When is reality gonna hit?

RUSH: Pffft!

CALLER: How long is it gonna take?

RUSH: I don't know what you --

CALLER: I mean, we're there now.

RUSH: I don't know what you mean by reality.

CALLER: They don't live in the real world if they think that they can keep spending like they and keep on spending. You can't even do that in your own private life. I mean, how do these people balance their checkbook at home?

RUSH: They... (sigh) Look, I'm running out of time here and I'm trying to figure out where you're coming from on this because you sound like you're just discovering what they're doing. You've been paying attention a lot longer than just recently, right?

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: Okay.

CALLER: I'm 63 years old, and I'm watching our country go in the toilet.

RUSH: Right. Okay. My only point to you is: So are they, and they know that they're the ones driving it there -- and the answer to your question is they don't care, because to them, when this is all finished, they have newfound power.

CALLER: Yeah, but what good is that power if we're broke?

RUSH: The only survivors left to fix it all. Well, if you hate capitalism you have to destroy it first. They do, and they're trying. That's the point.

Yep, all these 'targeted tax cuts' are for the businesses Democrats are going to tolerate, those that do not qualify pay full tax rate to add to their burden of being in business.

So, so sad. So many people are going to be so hurt. They won’t stop watching Jersey Shore and pay attention to what is happening all around them.

The democrats are aligning with big buisness like by supporting them with taxpayers monies and giving them waivers on the obamantion health care taxes but destroying all small buisnesses with regulations, taxes and greenie communist programs. This obamation adminsitration knows how to destroy and they plan to finish off America in the next two years. This is my opinion and I will bet that it is true.

It’s a truly sinister plan of theirs.

Right, the place where you see this is the ObamaCare waivers. They are now up to about 700. This was so-called “universal-affordable” health care. Yet somehow, 700+(so far) organizations can’t afford it and waiving them makes it non-universal. Republicans need to highlight this. Who knew, at the time of town hall meetings about ObamaCare that there would be waivers? If there are waivers in 2011, there will certainly be waivers in ‘12,’13 and so on. Again, this is just big-government choosing winners and losers.

I agree. The marxist will do their utmost trying bring our economy and country down in the next two years and substitute their marxist ideas to ‘save’ us. We all need to pay even closer attention to events during this time and stop them.

The Democrat Party is only in power because of the people that support it. After 30 years of indoctrination, 40% of the public believe they are entitled to free health care, insurance, medication, pensions, etc., simply because they are the have-nots.

The fact that they cannot compete, or do not want to compete, in a free enterprise system is not their fault, it is an affliction that society must compensate them for, by virtue of their being born in a competitive society.

Middle class Democrats of old supported the party because they thought it would genuinely help those less fortunate than themselves. Modern middle class Democrats/liberals support their party for what they can get out of it themselves, ie what is their just due after the evil capitalists have surfeited themselves in their own self created wealth, leaving others bereft of the good things of life.

They have come to reject their own station in life, which is not only a social condition, but a spirtual one also, characterized by unhappiness at the soul level, which results in more demand for more material things, which they only can obtain through more entitlement programs, which their Party leaders are only more than happy to oblige.

They’ve always been the party of the plantation. The party of the folks wanting to make themselves a better life is on the other side.

“The Republicans have made clear what they want to cut,”

There is one other thing the Right have to do in this situation besides making clear what must be cut and that is to HAMMER the Left over the head, day in and day out, with all the ill that they and their policies are responsible for PAST AND FUTURE. It's called getting out front and leading.

Dems do not hate capitalism. They like government (group) control of capital.

Conservatives and other freedom and liberty-loving folks love free enterprise capitalism which allows the individual to control capital.

Capitalism existed in the ex-Soviet Union as well as the USA. In America we have seen the continued transformation of going from a free enterprise form of capitalism to a state-controlled one.

...all the Republicans have to do is start talking about reducing spending and the Democrats start having a cow and they bring up this parade of victims. It's standard operating procedure.

All too true. Yet were we so inclined, I'm sure we could find 10 people hurt by big government for every 1 "victim" they trot out who may be, may be affected by cuts.

Every single person out there that pays taxes is a victim of big government. Is there something you want to do but can't afford? Thank the tax man. Renovate your home? Send your kids to college? Fix up your old car or replace it? Maybe go out to dinner once a month? Go back to school yourself, get a degree and a better job? Many of the small to modest things we want to do but can't afford are directly attributable to the money we pour down that 'rat-hole known as taxes.

So yeah, my basement sits unfinished while the government funds "art" of Jesus in urine with my tax dollars. I'm driving a 10 year old car that needs a lot of work while the government uses my money to fund abortions and healthcare for illegal aliens they refuse to keep out of my Country.

And even you smug lazy {expletives} out there that don't pay any taxes and are getting a free ride at my expense... You're not getting away scott-free either. Everything you buy, everything you do in your life costs more too (and thus you are just as limited as me) because of the bite the parasitic government takes out of the businesses you deal with. So yuk it up, you're in this just as deep as me. We all have an interest in a less intrusive, smaller, weaker, limited government.

Yes, the hand-out is also robbing them of their incentive to pursue their own happiness that won’t come about while waiting on the next benefit check being deposited into the debit card.

Liberals hate Capitalism because it is a very similar system to the free Darwinian competition they evolved to subvert, for their own personal advantage. This is an evolutionary psychology. Click my Nick, and see my profile, where I explain the theory of the evolutionary origins of politics.

If anybody here knows Rush, tell him he has a free copy of my book buried under that mountain of mail he gets. If he read it, he could explain this quite simply, in the context of evolutionary theory.

Your statement, while true, will not convince a single tax taker. As long as it is profitable for a segment of society to be unproductive, they will be unproductive and that number may be a majority already, it certainly is growing. L.B.J.s "war on poverty" is a major reason for this mess.

That was extremely well said, RT.

If only Obama, his crew and adoring fans could be made to sit down and listen to it just like we have to listen to his bullsh*t. I guess we do have the choice not to listen but when he speaks, he’s speaking to all of us...or is he?
