I was willing to give Brown a chance: I even donated money to him.
He can go it alone as far as I’m concerned. He has been a traitor to the conservative cause.
Yea, and replace him with...........? There were no surprises about Brown. If anyone had really thought he was going to be a rock solid conservative, they were not being realistic BUT I’ll take him, he will be better than any Massachusetts’ RAT.
Conservatives should be very careful about where they put their money.
ditto
I donated money on several occasions to Scott Brown. I have been sorely disappointed. It seems that the only remotely Conservative position he had was opposition to Obamacare - which was a forgone conclusion by the time he was elected.
RINO HUNTING SEASON
STARTS *IN THE PRIMARIES*~!!!!
I got flamed by a FReeper as pro-illegal because I flamed Brown as a RINO some weeks ago.
FReeper wasn’t interested in what I had to say about sister and bil who had worked on his campaign having been sold a lie.
My family in MA are not happy right now.
Okay, but there is a bright side. He has forfeited any conservative financial support, but he is still a politically viable incumbent. The lefties will have to spend money and effort for a seat that they can normally ignore as safe.
republicans up in the north east are like Dems down here and there is certainly can’t be many conservatives up there.
Brown and all the others will never get any of my money unless they propose to build a wall along the potomac and stop moving down here with their ignorant socially and fiscally liberal votes and minds.
Being conservative means fiscally and yes SOCIALLY.
The O admin recognized him as a weak sister and moved right in. He fell hook line and sinker. They whispered in his ear and he followed them everywhere.
Pathetic loser. But then his wife gave up her job and moved to D.C.
Wonder where she’s working now? Gummint job?
“It’s nothing personal, Sonny, it’s business”
If you do not vote conservatively then conservatives won’t fund your election
I spent money for him. It wasn’t about being a Goldwater conservative, it was about shocking the Democrats and foiling their Health Care Government Takeover.
Scott Brown is a perfect example of the conundrum in the Republican Party. We have kicked this back and forth in the threads—that we should vote strictly conservative, and not elect any RINOs. I got sucked into contributing to him as well. But the ultimate goal, IMHO, is to obtain control in all branches and the courts to bring this country back in alignment with conservative standards. The only way to do this is through votes. We are highly unlikely to get the desired number of votes by voting strong conservative in each instance. Shooting for the gold may leave us with a “nice-try” award and another four years of this administration. So I think it is an incremental change in some areas (not all) such that compromise like Brown may be needed to hold the position temporarily from the liberals until the conservatives gain a strong foothold, and can then send the RINOs packing.
He did do the one thing I wanted greatly. That was to freak out the progressives who thought they were going to get their person in there. Yeah he is a rino but I didn’t expect much more from him.
Um, ok Scott. F the truck...Mr. "nobody's senator". What collectives or totalitarians do you support? Who do you mean by "yours"?
Note to self, Spend my money defeating Red state dems.
I'm not sure Scott Brown ever called himself a conservative.
It was necessary to break the idea in the voters’ eyes that the seat belonged to the Democrats since Teddy had it so long. Now that’s broken, so maybe next cycle or so we can get a conservative in the seat.
