The Obama-Piven-Palin Strategy
The Next Right ^ | 11/14/2010 | Adam Selene

Obama associated with Marxists and other lefty radicals when he was young. This is not controversial. The real question is whether he still associates with such radical riff-raff today, or worse, is secretly carrying out their nefarious plans. In one case the answer is: we can only hope so.

I am referring to the infamous Cloward-Piven Strategy, an undemocratic plan to force a basic income guarantee by overloading the welfare system with applicants.

We got Clinton to reform welfare. Maybe we can get Obama to destroy it.

"It was at the Chicago home of [Bill] Ayers and [Bernardine] Dohrn that Obama, then an up-and-coming 'community organizer,' had his political coming out party in 1995. Not content with this rite of passage in Lefty World — where unrepentant terrorists are regarded as progressive luminaries, still working 'only to educate' — both Obamas tended to the relationship with the Ayers."

"As a gesture of solidarity, the Vietnamese who [Bernardine] Dohrn met in Budapest presented her with a ring made from an American aircraft shot down over North Vietnam. Bill Ayers would receive a similar ring while meeting with Vietnamese communists in Toronto. He later recalled being so moved by the gesture that he 'left the room to cry.' "

Obama's Church: Gospel of Hate
Kathy Shaidle, FrontPageMag.com
Monday, April 07, 2008

In March of 2007, FOX News host Sean Hannity had engaged Obama’s pastor in a heated interview about his Church’s teachings. For many viewers, the ensuing shouting match was their first exposure to "Black Liberation Theology"...

Like the pro-communist Liberation Theology that swept Central America in the 1980s and was repeatedly condemned by Pope John Paul II, Black Liberation Theology combines warmed-over 1960s vintage Marxism with carefully distorted biblical passages. However, in contrast to traditional Marxism, it emphasizes race rather than class. The Christian notion of "salvation" in the afterlife is superseded by "liberation" on earth, courtesy of the establishment of a socialist utopia.

Catholics for Marx [Liberation Theology]
By Fr. Robert Sirico
FrontPageMagazine.com | Thursday, June 03, 2004

In the days when the Superpowers were locked in a Cold War, Latin America seethed with revolution, and millions lived behind an iron curtain, a group of theologians concocted a novel idea within the history of Christianity. They proposed to combine the teachings of Jesus with the teachings of Marx as a way of justifying violent revolution to overthrow the economics of capitalism.

The Gospels were re-rendered not as doctrine impacting on the human soul but rather as windows into the historical dialectic of class struggle. These "liberation theologians" saw every biblical criticism of the rich as a mandate to expropriate the expropriating owners of capital, and every expression of compassion for the poor as a call for an uprising by the proletarian class of peasants and workers.

"Obama associated with Marxists and other lefty radicals when he was young. This is not controversial. The real question is whether he still associates with such radical riff-raff today"

Van Jones links "Green Movement" to revolutionary communist movement!

See "Goal is complete revolution" below...

VAN JONES (Obama's former 'Green Jobs Czar'):

YouTube:
"Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to President Obama, speaks [lovingly] about Green Job Czar, Van Jones, at the Netroots Convention on August 12, 2009. Then Van Jones speaks about [a COMMUNIST] transforming [of] the whole society."

"Jones was the leader and founder of a radical group, the communist revolutionary organization Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM. That group, together with Jones' Elle Baker Center for Human Rights, led a vigil Sept. 12, 2001, at Snow Park in Oakland, Calif.

STORM's official manifesto, titled, "Reclaiming Revolution," surfaced on the Internet."--via TheObamaFile

VAN JONES SHOCK ADMISSION [in his own words]: "Goal is Complete Revolution"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh4Z0V0zNQg
_________________________________________________

Here is the transcript of the above YouTube video:

“Right after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat if the civil rights leaders had jumped out and said OK now we want reparations for Slavery, we want redistribution of all the wealth, and we want to legalize mixed marriages. If we’d come out with a maximum program the very next day, they’d been laughed at. Instead they came out with a very minimum. “We just want to integrate these busses…”

But, inside that minimum demand was a very radical kernel that eventually meant that from 1964 to 1968 complete revolution was on the table for this country.

And, I think that this green movement has to pursue those same steps and stages.

Right now we say we want to move from suicidal gray capitalism to something eco-capitalism where at least we’re not fast-tracking the destruction of the whole planet. Will that be enough? No, it won’t be enough. We want to go beyond the systems of exploitation and oppression all together. But, that’s a process and I think that’s what’s great about the movement that is beginning to emerge is that the CRISIS is so severe in terms of joblessness, violence and now ecological threats that people are willing to be both pragmatic and visionary.

So the green economy will start off as a small subset and we are going to push it and push it and push it until it becomes the engine for transforming the whole society.

Here's the original source for the Van Jones quote about the time he spent in jail following the Rodney King/LA riots (Jones was arrested in "peaceful" protests in San Fran). It was in a 2005 interview he did with East Bay Express. They of course (what else?) claim he "renounced his rowdy Black Nationalist ways" since then (yet he's calling for "complete revolution" in Aug 2009! ...see above):

But in jail, he said, "I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.'" Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. "I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary." In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. "I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist."

The 1992 LA/Rodney King riots were instigated by the Revolutionary Communist Party...

From David Horowitz's FrontpageMag.com /DiscoverTheNetworks.org:

"Throughout its history, one of RCP's [Revolutionary Communist Party] principal objectives has been to foment civil unrest in the United States. The most notable example of such efforts occurred on April 29, 1992, when RCP members looted and trashed the downtown and government districts of Los Angeles, triggering the infamous Rodney King riots. During the days immediately preceding the violence, RCP -- which maintained close ties to the L.A. gangs known as the Crips and the Bloods -- had circulated throughout South Central Los Angeles a leaflet featuring a statement by RCP National Spokesman Carl Dix, titled 'It's Right To Rebel' -- a quote popularized by Mao Zedong.

Encouraged by Dix, RCP activists helped lead the riots that would leave 58 people dead, more than 2,300 people injured, some 5,300 buildings burned, and $1 billion in property damaged or destroyed. On the ten-year anniversary of the rioting, RCP member Joseph Veale fondly recalled the violence as 'the most beautiful, the most heroic civil action in the history of the United States.'"

The "guaranteed income" idea may be more efficient than the current system, but it is no more moral, except perhaps to drag everybody into the net of dependence equally.

I also imagine that it would be inflationary, which would in turn create a call for a higher guarantee, ad nauseum.

Replacing "needs-based welfare" with a "guaranteed minimum income" is not progress toward more freedom. Neither are a proper function of government.

If being "on the right" means one has to be for big government taking from the producers and giving it to those who will not work for a living, then count me out.

I am for freedom, and for returning government to its properly constituted roles: establishing justice, providing for the common defense, protecting the general (not individual) welfare, and protecting and securing liberty for ourselves, and for our children.

The author of this op-ed stumbles in the last paragraph; he fails to explore the reasons and reality of the mineral-resources tax-derived Alaskan income.

The Constituion of the Great State of Alaska stipulates that the citizens of the state are the shareholders of the mineral resources (oil, natural gas, etc) found in the state's lands.
Therefore, the citizens themselves must be given a share from the taxation of the exploration, production and transportation of natural energy resources obtained from the land.

This has been Alaskan practice well-before Sarah Palin was elected.

It is called ‘the dole’.

The left and the "progressives" have been working very hard for decades (without a doubt with the aid of 'conservatives') on blurring or hiding the distinction between welfare (the dole) and beneficiary-contributed programs like Social Security and Medicare.
As a result, any criticism or suggestion of cuts is immediately countered by "you want to cut the retirement benefits of the retired grandmother librarian who worked all her life?"
"No, we want to cut the benefits of the parasites who have attached themselves to an otherwise functional system!"

That the parasites now almost outnumber the productive, makes a social and financial explosion inevitable.

I haven't seen any indication that any of our elected representatives of any political party are willing to grasp the concept. But the productive working taxpayers are increasingly demanding that the system be unraveled to identify the true cause of our social and financial woes.

And we do have an increasing number of elected total reality idiots like Wiener.

"Was it fully implemented before she was elected?"

By MANY years. First put into place when the North Slope oil was discovered, and the negotiations for leases and compensation were begun. That would be in the mid-seventies, I believe. My family and I each received some of the first dividend checks issued in those early days.

Maybe I missed the Palin speech where she advocated sneaking around behind the scenes, and behind the backs of the American people, hoping to cause the system to crash against their will?

Don’t think so.

Palin fights for traditional values like honesty and hard work. Exactly the opposite of Piven.

Trying to link Palin with Piven is like saying General George Washington secretly wanted to help General Cornwallis win the war.

And I am for winning the lottery. Alas, the probabilities of doing so are vanishingly small. The odds of eliminating the safety net are on the same order.

A basic income guarantee at least allows us to fire thousands of bureaucrats and the welfare bums would have more incentive to work.
