Have there ever been two such disparate terms? After his first term, we were talking Mt. Rushmore. After his second, the city landfill seemed more appropriate.
That is the way it seemed. Later on looking back I saw the seeds of disaster being planted in the first term. Iraq and the housing bubble being the worst examples. Neither ALL his fault but he gets the blame, just as Obama will get all the blame, hopefully.
Marked for reference.
Again, chemical weapons were not emphasized by the people who got us into this war. They emphasized “mushroom clouds.” Your purple prose does not reflect the actual arguments of Powell, Rice, Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Bush at the time.
First, your emphasis on chemical weapons DOES not reflect the actual scare tactics of Rumsfeld, Bush and others which emphasized nuclear mushroom clouds, virtually to the exclusion of all else.
Second, you are assuming that Bush went to war because he was somehow motivated by intelligence (real or mistaken) about WMD. I do not believe this for a second. The real goal from the beginning of Bush, Wolfowitz, Cheney, and others making policy) was to remake the Middle East politically. Many conservatives were skeptical of this goal (and properly noted that that there was NO link between 9-11 and the secular Saddam) hence Bush and others used WMD to scare them
I gave up on Hannity in 2002......9 years ago ;-)
What about when he interviews Palin?
While he may be patting himself on the back, this now media whore isn't about to bring a country to war......there were other sources and facts that the U.S. and England relied on to make their decision.
It looks like no-one I pinged on that one comment even came on this thread, let alone came after you. I figured they wouldnt be bothered with a Bush/Iraq post(not all agree with me on this issue anyway). Good, I mean you no ill, You were just a poster I strongly disagree with on an issue giving me a debate forum, like a devils advocate.. You said nothing to offend me.
One freepmailed me and said "Sorry, I am too busy to get involved", LOL
If we all agreed, it would be pretty damned boring.
