He's probably the most authentic politician on the national scene. In his "no bull, no spin" New Jersey style, he's fearlessly taken on every special interest group from the teachers unions to the Big Government lobbies headquartered in Trenton. When reporters are flippant or sarcastic with him, he gives it back to them in spades! He tells it like it is. For most citizens of the Garden State the tax, spend, and over-regulate regime of Nanny State Gov. Corsine is just a bad memory. A breath of fresh air at last! The video is of his address to the AEI.

Watched it twice yesterday. Excellent speech. This is a great executive. So proud of him. Hoping he stays in his current job until he’s term limited out in 7 years.

Christie is a hell of a public speaker, a hell of a salesman, and a hell of an executive. I’m so proud of him.
What an excellent speech! Christie embodies what’s good about New Jersey and America. His no nonsense approach to issues is very refreshing. He is the very definition of what a leader should be and I think he would make a very worthy adversary in the next presidential election.
As a lifelong Jersey boy, a Jersey homeowner and taxpayer, I am so extremely PROUD of Gov. Chris Christie.
I am generally of the view that single issue problems should not be viewed as disqualifying however if one were going to be a single issue voter, Second Amendment would be a real candidate.

Right on! I lived in the Garden State before I moved to the Sunshine State (not to retire but to escape the very evils Christie is fighting) and many of my N.J. relatives and friends tell me Christie has infused the people there with a hope and enthusiasm they never had before.
What have you specifically heard about his position on that?
