BAIDA, Libya — Thousands of African mercenaries and militiamen were massing on roads heading toward Tripoli on Wednesday to reinforce the stronghold of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi as rebels protesting his 40-year rule claimed to have taken control of cities closer to the capital, witnesses said.
.... Many loaded into trucks headed for the outlying areas of the city, where they occupied traffic intersections and appeared to be massing for neighborhood-to-neighborhood searches. “It looks like they have been given a green light to kill these people,” one witness said.
Witnesses said groups of heavily armed militiamen and mercenaries from other African countries cruised the streets in pickups, spraying crowds with machine-gun fire and then carting away bodies in vans. On Wednesday, a resident said mercenaries were still roaming the city and enforcing a reign of terror.
Serbian newspaper "Hello" argues that the Serbian mercenaries receive tens of thousands of dollars for this work. They went to Libya, mostly from other African countries that fought for years as "dogs of war". Finally some good news
I think the groundswell of protesters against Qaddafi in Libya is growing minute by minute.
I think Qaddafi will eventually go the way of Mubarak unless he has a death wish by staying in which case he could be assassinated.
I have no sympathy for Qaddafi because of the Lockerbie affair. I hope he rots in Hell forever.

We gave some $2 billion in weapons to Egypt in 09 only to turn around and encourage Mubarak to leave islamokazis who hate Israel in control.

The mercenary thugs came to Libya looking for money, but I’ll bet they aren’t getting paid now. So now they will be looking to get out with their lives...but I don’t think that’s going to happen, either. Nobody is getting in or out of Libya.
So the thugs don’t get their money, and won’t keep their lives. It’s now just a matter of how many Libyans they will take with them.
One difference, he really has no where to go, especially after what’s happening right now. Not even Iran or Chavez will take him. He’s too radioactive, even for them. So it’s life or death for him and his clan, others be damned.
And Obama? So where did he get that gazillion dollars worth of cash cards? Undoubtedly from the same unemployed people in Libya.
