This is Iran all over again, only by a factor of 100.

It starts the exact same way, under the guise of “Dumbocracy”, freedom and “human rights”. The euphoria can be cut with a knife from all the Liberal/Socialist/Marxist Utopian dreamers. And it ends with harsh Islamic tyranny.

My guess is he grabs a bunch of gold, takes a couple of planes with a VERY well paid off flight crew and heads to Venezuela. I believe he is a chicken at heart and will run rather than die, Chavez will probably give him a few thousand hectares with a quaint little hut and a big yard to put his tent up on and let him retire.

BBC

1613: The Tripoli resident continues: “The militia and Gaddafi supporters [are] carrying heavy arms [and] don’t want the people to gather. They were just coming out in a crowd. They caused a massacre... There are some people still lying on the street. Nobody can take them. They are using ambulances to shoot at people - can you believe it? They are using anti-aircraft weapons. They are shooting continuously. You think you are in a war zone. This is a civil area. People are not armed.”

1610: More on those reports of people being shot at by Gaddafi supporters after Friday prayers. One person told the BBC: “As we were praying, the shooting started. As people came out [of the mosque], they were shooting at people. A lot of my neighbours today died. My brother was hit by a bullet in his leg. The situation here is horrible. There are helicopters. The sky is raining with bullets.”

The Islamists are the strongest and best organized force in the Middle East. There is no strong liberal party in any Arab country and this includes countries with a relatively open political system, like Lebanon, Iraq and Kuwait. I would say the prospects of a Western-style democracy emerging in the Arab World range from slim to none. We’re probably going to see strongmen emerge in those countries because that’s what Arabs are accustomed to.

The nicer things Arabs do is cut off penises and breasts and stuff them in dead people’s mouths. They don’t fight in a civilized fashion. And they show no respect for the sanctity of their own holy places.

The scene is horrific... no doubt. But freedom is worth dying for, an ideal that should still move us in a world that has come to believe nothing is worth dying for. I’ve always held that death is preferable to slavery.

Yep maybe they will kill each other. We should give each country an A-Bomb and see what happens.

I wouldn’t be surprised if SOMEONE had a smuggled Stinger missile hiding near the airport for just the right occasion.

Let it get JUST high enough...acquire target...fire...pop goes the weasel.

BTW...I was talking about that happening to QADDAFI, not us.

Anyone does that to OUR people, we need to turn Tripoli into a glass bowl

6:01pm Violence flared up even before the Friday sermons were over, according to a source in Tripoli.

People are rushing out of mosques even before Friday prayers are finished because the state-written sermons were not acceptable, and made them even more angry,” the source said.

Hold it...the airfield it’s going to has been confirmed to be in the hands of the protesters.

Will our people be able to get to it? Will they come under fire?

If our people are killed while trying to escape, it needs to be laid at the feet of Obama...and he needs to PAY.
