Arguing with Rummy about Iraq is like arguing with Heisenberg about quantum mechanics.

Because you're never sure what the answer will be?

Interview=stupid. O’Rielly needs to go to MSNBC for penance for three weeks after that Rumsfeld interview, just lame!

I loved that one spot where O’Reilly was ranting on and on and you could see how excited he was and then Rumsfeld calmly said, “do you want me to respond to that?” He did it so cool it made O’Reilly look like the ass that he is.

in my mind FOX is disgusting because they have O’Reilly on -O’Reilly poses as a conservative yet liberal devil’s advocate.

I’m glad I don’t watch tv anymore (now going on 4 yrs).I prefer alternative news sites.

O’Reilly always thinks he knows it all but the TRAVESTY here with Rummy is being made a target by O’Reilly by the higher-ups,etc.... and it’s sickening because Rummy really ISN’T the target-BOR didn’t do a book review he just spouted his self-inflated enhanced higher-up opinion(s)
which is meant to denigrate Repubs in general.

I agree with everything said so far. Did anyone see Megan Kelly go at him last night? She was telling him he was making up his own facts and he can’t do that..

personally , I thought Rumsfeld dragged his ass on troops numbers in the lead up to the fight . We should have overwhelmed them

Fair enough.

We should have totally pressured Turkey to allow a complete second front utilizing the 4th ID

NOT Rummy's fault, but rather Colon Powell's. Prior to Desert Storm, James Baker visited Turkey TWICE and had Bush call the PM 8 times. Powell? Did not visit, made 4 calls, NO Dubya calls, AND they threatened to withhold a $15b loan guarantee. Turkish cartoons railed against "American arrogance". And it cost many lives as a result. Tragic stupidity from a career idiot: Colon Powell.

we should have never put the situation into the hands of the inept Interm Authority after the initial victory

Blame Bush and Bush ALONE for appointing Paul "Pussy" Bremer after firing Garner. We needed a MacArthur, and instead Bush gave us Mr. Rogers, with disastrous results, among which was Muqtada al-Sadr senselessly left alive.

This always happens , over & over again , whenever the CIV’s are put in authority over Mil ops . .Until we learn to fight with the gloves off and use our Mil assets the way they are supposed to be used ,we will never experience clear cut victories again

Amen, brother.

I'm with you on your point. I know what a total ass Bill is but I watch because of guests such as Dennis Miller, Bernie Goldberg, Laura Ingraham etc. (don't much care for Juan Williams though) But love Mary Catherine Hamm. In other words, I'm not throwing the baby out with the bath water.

O’Reilly treats The One with kid gloves, yet aggressively goes after Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. Disgusting. He behaved like one of his own named pinheads.

I have tried any number of times to watch Bill O’Reilly’s show. I can’t do it. There is just something about that condesending tone of voice of his that makes me want to just reach into the TV and just smack the crap out of him.

Maybe he thinks that because he went to Harvard, he is supposed to be so much smarter and so much more enlightened than the rest of us. I would think that the fact the Obama also attended Harvard would put the lie to that delusion.

I don’t watch O’Reilly and I’m watching less and less of FoxNews altogether these days. Other than the morning shows, I usually have the sound muted. I keep it on through the day without sound because, hey, they got some eye candy on that channel, lol.

I don’t think O’Reilly hammered or was abusive to Rumsfeld but the interview took on what I imagine a discussion of warfare would between Clausewitz and Paris Hilton.

You are not going to get concise and complete three word answers to complex problems. It was like a child asking a broad question about life but not having the patience or understanding to hear the answer before moving on to a new question.

O’Reilly’s style is wearing thin on his viewers. I rarely watch him anymore.

This interview was horrible, but O’reilly will never admit it.

Instead, he'll continue to ask guests for the next two weeks for obsequious praise of it.

That is a great way to describe it! Having a hard time keeping up interest with it. Looking forward to reading Known and Unknown.

The actual challenges by B.O. were fair. The problem was that the ‘interview’ should have allowed Rumsfeld time to answer without being continually talked-over and insulted by B.O. O’Reilley figuratively bows to our commie president, but feels free to lambast and impugn an actual hero.

BOR is a BORE!!! What a creep—his fave line ‘am I right?’ is designed to get positive strokes—I would have loved to ‘stroke’ him last night—across the mouth w/ a 2x4!!!
Secretary Rumsfeld is ‘an officer & a gentleman’ and deserves the respect that he most certainly did not receive last night!
