I really appreciated his post pointing out the REAL reason for higher test scores in WI than in TX. I am a true blue conservative but the argument had not even occurred to me.

What qualifies you as a statistician?
I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Some bloggers have hinted that Dave Burge's day job involves heavy-duty statistical analysis. This Krugman dissection plus the excellent Iowahawk analysis of the Climategate scientists' "hockey stick" shenanigans lead me to suspect that if Burge is not a well qualified statistician, he must LIVE in a Holiday Inn Express.
