Every state should require this, since the FEC doesn’t seem to give a damn.

I can already hear the media screaming about how this is a “racist birther plot” that will disenfranchise women and minorities...

Let em’ scream... the noise will stop once they are gone for good.

The truth is the truth and anyone hiding their birth certificate has got to be hiding the truth in my opinion. Those aiding lies and deceit, or those signing off on lies and deceit, are equally guilty.

I guess this is good news but why did he wait until Wed. to file this and is it already dead because the funnel deadline was not met?

I think it makes a difference in what committee it was assigned BUT the RATS control the Senate and the wild-eyed liberal Majority Leader is not going to allow this thing to pass.

The Republicans should take over the Senate in the next election and then it's bye, bye, Gronstol.

Here we go.

There are only two requirements for being president. Both of them, interestingly, have to do with the date of your birth. We haven’t come across the guy who is 28 years old try to be president, either, but it’s an interesting what-if question - what if someone claimed to be 35 years old but had no proof?

And, of course, this has everything to do with Obama - and the fact that his supporters have a disdain and disregard for the Constitution. Someone who cared would have simply shown the birth certificate ages ago. They don’t care. It’s that simple. We’re at this point in the republic where a significant group of people no longer follow the laws established during the formation of the country. All other arguments are just diversions.

God help us.

Those who falsely believe that Obama is foreign born????

I have two million reasons to believe he hasn’t proven his eligibility.

Falsely believe? The man won’t produce a birth certificate. This author knows it; but continues to ignore it.

Passing a state voting requirement law that reaffirms an actual Constitutional requirement, is not something that is of interest only to those requesting Obama's birth certificate. It should be of interest to all voters.

“falsely believe that Obama is foreign born and therefore not eligible” ..... That is not the point. This is the point .... Both Parents U.S. Citizens + Born in U.S. = Natural Born Citizen. His alleged father was Kenyan (British Subject) not a U.S. Citizen. Therefore, barry is not Natural Born, and not eligible to be POTUS.

Iowa : ‘Birther’ legislation introduced by Sorenson

For far too long, the states have "assumed" that the Federal Government properly vetted the candidates' qualifications. 0bama is proof that it does not, and is subject to fraud. Failure of a state to ensure that a candidate meets The Constitutional requirements is to risk disenfranchisement of the voters who vote for that candidate.

A bit deceiving on the title. After reading the article I went and looked at the actual poll.

I would rather say that only 28% believe that he was born in America. That is kind of staggering for any demographic.

Meanwhile the MSM denies this is even a problem and refuse to call Obama out on it. Then they wonder why they are not trusted as a news source.
